Hello all...
Congrats to me..been 3 weeks off analogs. Started with gas store Logic brand and have moved up to Halo. I started with the prefilled cartos and have since discovered how great the mini tanks are...WHEN THEY WORK. I twirl, dont get anything down the middle but yet still a burnt taste...and when they dont taste burnt off the bat they only last 3 days and i have a hard time just trying to draw off these things. What am i doing wrong? I did talk to a halo rep and he recommended no vaping for 10 mins after first fill..maybe thats why the one right out the wrapper didnt work tonite? but all the others had a burnt taste 2-3 days as well. I keep it filled and the wicks wet with twirling..should i just go back to cartos? any suggestions? appreciate any input at all...thanks!:(

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a fan of most clearomizers, which the Halo Triton tanks are. They appear to be knock off clones of the Kanger T2 clearomizers. Those are old technology; that model has been upgraded by two generations to the Kanger T3S currently on the market.

Clearomizers depend upon very tiny silica strings to wick the juice to the heating coil inside the tank. If you are a moderate to heavy vaper, those little strings may have a tough time wicking enough juice to the coil. This results in dry or burnt hits as you are literally just burning the wick and not the juice.

Try a slower, gentler, longer draw techique when you vape. Allow the wicks time to wick juice to the coil. Ideally the coil/wick head should last 2 - 3 weeks.

You may not want to hear this, but for a better vape I recommend upgrading to a larger battery setup so that you can use a cartotank. I find these to provide better flavor and more consistancy than a clearomizer. These require a little more time to set up initially (pre-filling the carto), but thereafter they are as carefree as a clearomizer.

Actually, the G6 mini is a Kanger T4. (The Triton tank is a T2). When I used these, I had pretty good luck with them. Heavy VG or dark liquids might not work as well. I tended to use lighter, more PG based liquids. You can soak them in everclear or vodka, and the flush with hot water to clean them. And the can be dry burned to some degree to remove the gunk from the coils. However, they are really meant to be somewhat disposable.

You can get them cheaper at litecigusa or Smokeless Image.
