Every single time I tried to quit smoking I gained a significant amount of weight. I put the analogs down 2 weeks ago yesterday when I bought my e-cig and have actually lost 10 pounds. I know I will not continue to lose at that rate but I find it very encouraging. Just one more valid incentive to stay on the vape.

I have lost a few pounds since I started vaping. I haven't been on a scale, but my tight jeans are getting baggy. I find that I'm not eating a lot of sweet stuff anymore cuz I vape them instead. First time I quit smoking, I gained 30 lbs the first month, but they hadn't invented e-cigs yet. This time it was so easy to quit the analogs and not gain weight. I am soooo happy!

I was kind of curious about this too as I recently started Weight Watchers. I was kind of nervous that it would either derail my weight loss being able to vape all the sweet goodies and then I wouldnt want to eat, but you always hear people gain when they quit. I am hoping this will be the best of both worlds for me, I can have the sweet goodies but still be eating right. Plus now that I can breathe better, working out wont be such a chore either. :)

Glad this has been brought up! I've actually found that I have lost weight, about 16lbs so far. Granted, I am exercising and watching what I eat, but no more than when I was smoking. The nicotine and tasty flavored juices suppress my appetite more than smoking ever did. I'm using it to my advantage. However, I'm sure I'm vaping much more nicotine than I was getting with analogs before.

Keep in mind that the average vaper uses 2-6ml of fluid a day... even if you were consuming 2-6ml of straight sugar water, it'd still only be ~30 calories (Im approximating).

Also, a lot of flavorings are alcohol-based, which dont have any calories at all...

Short answer: You definitely wont gain weight from vaping if everything else (diet, exercise, amount of activity) stays the same
