Copper vein was looking really worn since I never cleared it before using it. Then on top of it a friend knocked it off a table to concrete and it really took some nicks in its copper armor. Decided to really switch it up. Just stripped it down taped it up and put an old atty in the 510 connection to keep it blocked.

The copper vein finish is strong but nothing a lil arm grease and sandpaper can't take care of. 80 grit to help fix the small nicks then to 100 then 220 then 320. Like I said I just taped the window and fire button holes with painters tape and put an old atty in the 510. I used a rustolium satin metallic paint. Just gotta take the time to do multiple light coats and keep a consistent spray pattern because the metallics will look funny in to sun if your all over the place

Vlodato, ...you did an excellent job! Do you have a link to the paint you used?

I put 2 coats of Rustoleum Enamel Clear Coat on my Copper Vein after getting it. That was 7 weeks ago. She still looks beautiful. Love the Copper color, but it does require a Clear Coat to protect. I recommend folks that want the Copper Vein to ask Rob to Clear Coat it. It may cost a little extra, and delay the shipping, but in the end -- it's well worth the wait. :thumb:

does look very schmick brother- really nice work and unique too. liking that a lot.

I have an old grand being had done as we speak. let my artist friend use his imagination (god only knows what i'll get back). all I know is that he is aware that Yellow is my fave colour - beyond that who knows.

cant wait to post custom paint job pics.

Can't wait to see it, sounds awsome. My friends are about as artistic as stick figures. It was nerve racking enough making such a dramatic difference to something I love so much without knowing how it's gonna turn out. Goodluck
