When you people speak serious I understand. When you come on jokes your language change and I cant understand much things. E.g. I didnt understand what Ripple just said
He was only referring to the word mate hence the reason it was like this in his comment "mate" and g'day wasn't in his actual question.................lol
I'm not liking the Mate thing either, to me its what I do with my Chick, so I'm never using it to call some dude that's for sure.
Really all, it was just meant in fun...not asking you to change the way you speak Imeo.
Well to me calling someone dude, buddy etc doesn't sound quite right. Each to their own.

I'm not sure close friend is really covered any more by American english, we have exhausted a lot of words in our many colloquialisms and slang to the point they lose their original meaning -- god, I'm tired -- I want to be a GG Compadre!!!
And Imeo, I apologize for talking in slang you have no basis of knowing -- unless you watch our TV shows!
