With the elections coming, is there a way to bring up the topic of at least considering regulating the use of electronic cigarettes in Singapore similar to the UK? :(

Looking at Australia right now, seems like vapers voices are bring heard. They are not accepting 300,000 vaper's alternative to be cigarettes. Hope they win the nicotine ban war with their gov.

If you shout loud enough, i believe tons of SG smokers and vapers will support you

@Jellotinepie, I don't know how you go about starting a petition in Singapore. But that is a starting point at least.

You could also contact the health minister in the government as well, but you'll need lots of information to support vaping as a safer Nicotine replacement therapy with a proven track record that stops people from smoking.

Also tourism, business, and culture ministers may be an idea as well. As if vaping is acceptable in Singapore vaping tourism could generate a lot of money indeed.

As think of the vaping shops that could be selling liquids, consumables, devices and atomisers. All the companies that could be making liquids as well.

That could be an awful lot of money indeed.

So to me it's all about trying to convince people of the benefits, and the potential profits.

We should. It's hypocritical that cigarettes like flavour burst, ice blast and fruity flavours that are attractive to youth are being sold while vaping is banned.

@jack1010, the US authorities don't really have much if any credibility at the moment.

Nevermind that they're trying to ban vaping.

But a heated Tobacco product is made out to be safer, even though it's not a massive leap of logic to realise that prior research that states the health risks from Tobacco still apply somewhat.

So this could be a big error for the Tobacco industry that may keep it going in the short term, but when users health has been impacted it will be the end of the line for them.

In Singapore, they are worried about taxation issues and non certified liquid flooding the market. But for IQOS, it is very simple to tax and the only importer is PMI only. But they banned everything and only allows the more dangerous burning tobacco. Isn't it silly? Japan also do not allow nicotine laced e-liquid easily but they allowed heated tobacco because it is easy to control. Don't they find it funny that burning tobacco must be more dangerous than heating it and yet they banned heated tobacco? In Singapore, they always want to treat citizens like kids and derived them from safer alternatives. Always feeling that they are right somehow even without scientific explanation. Hope more of these people gets voted out in the future.
