Hi,

I am looking to purchase a Griffin by Geek vape and would love your input and experiences.

If you could answer these questions too that would be great:

Will a Griffin work fine on a Kanger K-Box Mini 50w and what is the lowest build I could safely chuck in?

A 22 would fit quite flush on my K-box has anyone tried a 25 and if so, how is it? Large overhang?

Thanks in advance
Grubby

There are 4 problems with the 22 that they addressed with the 25mm.

1. The gap between the glass and heating chamber was too small, making bubbles at the juice holes that would linger.
2. The AFC ring now clicks where it used to spin with nothing to stop it.
3. There was a problem with the top or bottom o-ring. Can't remember.
4. The grub screws on the 25 has nitrogen surface treatment where the 22 didn't.

They may have revised the 22mm but I can't confirm it.

Either would work well with 40w. 4-5 wraps of 24-26 gauge clapton should be about right.

If you get either one, you need a quality 1.3mm hex driver. Otherwise you'll likely destroy the screws.
These are the ones I have and like to recommend:
Wiha 26390 Screwdriver Set, Hex Metric With Precision Handle, .7 - 3.0mm, 7 Piece - Hobby Tool Sets - Amazon.com

Just about a 1mm overhang on a Kbox Mini. The Griff should work fine. I've justed mine with 0.4ohms and 40W.

That's not bad at all!

Thanks! I'm now eyeing the griffin 25 mini, looks like they made some more improvements, would be nice if they had a proper channel for the glass to sit in though.

You don't get a tool with the tanks??

You get a key with any tank. If your building round wire it's not that bad but clapton and other larger options need a lot of force to act right. If they are loose the load will act funky or the coils won't heat evenly.
The keys included with tanks are just stainless I think. You need chrome moly tools because they are harder and keep their original measurements thus preventing the rounding of screws.

Didn't realize there was a mini...I just ordered another 25 yesterday. Oops.

Also if you intend on getting a dual battery mod, the top air flow is pretty interesting. It really helps cool the hit if you need to.

I had both griffins, 22 is awful, 25 better but still just ok. They r too finaky to wick . i got a herakles rta2 25mm and it blows the griffin away. Its as easy to wick as an rda, huge deck, postholes, and two giant wicking channels. Juiceflow control and massive airflow. 6Ml capacity , velocity deck xtra glass, copper 510pin , o rings , drip tip adapter , chuff style delrin tip. It doesnt leak and no dry hits , 100watt chain vaping no problem. I thnk i paid 30$
