Geekvape Z FLI Tank- Trash Out of the Box?!

I purchased a Geekvape Z FLI tank today to replace an old broken down tank, and I ran into issues straight out the box. Brand new, never before used. I follow the instructions to the letter about filling the tank with e-liquid to not overfill, and I let the coil within steep within the filled tank for about 7 minutes (the instructions said 5, but I wanted to give it a bit extra time since it's new). Immediately, I experience HARD spitback and leaking. After attempting again, but filling the tank only half way this time (all the juice I filled was wasted as I purged it thinking it might have obstructed the air flow), the same issue occured. Massive spitback and leaks. I inspected the tank, all O-Rings were in place and intact. Thinking it was perhaps a dud coil, I took it home, cleaned with warm water to completely clear excess juice that somehow got into the center valve, and carefully dried it with paper towels and Q-Tips. Replaced the coil with the back up coil the tank came with. But this time, I primed the coil first before filling the tank, and gave it 10 minutes of waiting time. SAME. EXACT. PROBLEM. Spitback and leaking. The mod I'm currently using is the Centaurus M200, but I'm not sure if that's even relevant, as the Z FLI fit perfectly on the mod with no connectivity issues. The issues came exclusively from the tank.

Was I sold a trash tank? I don't understand why this brand new tank just failed right out the box...

Very disappointed myself. I just bought one today and also the same problems. I'm going to try again with a new coil. I also gave it a couple extra minutes before I used it. First couple hits were perfect but I noticed the tank went down 1/2 of what I had in there so I put more juice in. After that is when I had the problems. I emptied out the tank and cleaned it out. Filled it to the level I had prior. First hit it gurgles and I get juice in my mouth again. I did all the troubleshooting. I let the coil burn for a couple seconds thinking it might be saturated. Also flicked it like they said and still problems. When it gurgles I tip it over and the juice pours out. Can't wait to hear some different solutions.

I took the tank back to the local vape shop I bought it from, the clerk was also completely baffled. Gave me an exchange, no charge, same exact tank. Decided to test it right then and there in the shop, just in case this would be a recurring issue. The tank worked perfectly fine, using it right now a week later. We were both stumped as to why the first one was just auto-trash right out the box, whereas the replacement, same exact make and model, worked perfectly fine. I'm hoping I can get an answer when I go back to that shop for e-juice. It was the weirdest thing...
