General newb question

i have been dabbling into rta systems and some come out good some others ehh not so great, got a kind thing going on and maybe someone experienced can answer this for me, sometimes when I build I have no flavor, it is wicking correctly because I'm getting no dry burn, I've tried it at different watts but nothing over 70. I posted a while ago about my cleito build how great clouds n flavor were but I'm now eating my words after try the flavor through my other tank, just clouds, it's like the flavor is muted. The build on this one now is the stock claptons that's came with it, I took the hybrids out because it had to be cranked up to lower the ramp up. Is there a general solution that I'm over looking?

Also one guess was that the cotton has to be broken in and perhaps the cotton taste was masking the juice flavor, but I must say there wasn't much cotton taste. Just tasted bland wig liquid state Apple Butter
