General vape advice

I quit smoking many years ago. Recently, I started vaping for personal reasons. I know clouds are very popular, but my main goal is to increase my nicotine intake as needed. I recently started using and still currently use a Vaporesso Xros Pro, with 18mg flavorless, 0.4 ohm, and 25W settings. If my goal is to increase nicotine levels, shouldn't I be raising the ohms? My next question: Considering my goals, would it be advisable to buy something like a GeekVape Max100 (Aegis Max 2) with a Z (Zeus) Nano MTL tank, which can use 0.8 and 1.2 ohm coils? So, from what little I've read, I'm guessing I will need to switch to higher ohms, lower watts, and eventually move to salts. Does this sound like the right way to go?

Thanks

Hi and welcome,
Please consult a medical professional.
Perhaps a patch or other metered dose product is better suited for your goals.

IMO, If you are attempting to administer nicotine to treat symptoms, one or two traditional cigarettes per day might be more efficacious. (Its NOT just the Nicotine)

Cheers

After doing more research, it appears I will need to increase my Ohms and possibly decrease my wattage.

Like many people, I started smoking as a teenager, and that increased over the years until I reached a comfortable, satisfying level of close to two packs a day. If it were the weekend, which usually included drinking back then, I would easily smoke two packs a day. I'm certain I'm starting that cycle again, smoking that is, and I hope this clarifies any other concerns others may have about my intentions. There are a few other personal concerns, but they are irrelevant to my questions. I've been to three different vape stores, and two did not have my best interest in mind, while the third is questionable. I plan to visit a fourth vape shop, which I believe is run by an experienced and educated person who might have a better understanding of what I want to accomplish..

Thank you for the replies; they are greatly appreciated.

I would not be concerned about increasing the nicotine level. You should do what is best for you.
Nicotine is a nutrient. Found to be neither poisonous or addictive on its own.
I wish you success.

I'm using one called VIHO. The nicotine doesn't amount to much as a percentage, but it more than makes up for that in the shear volume it delivers. I'm quite impressed with it.

If you want more nicotine, just use 50 mg salt nic that’s common for pod systems.
Devices like the Vaporesso with a 1.0Ω pod are designed for that.

The Max 2 is a mod. It’s not “stronger” by itself it just allows much higher wattage, depending on the atomizer and coil you’re using. That means it can vaporize more liquid per puff, but only if you build or use low-resistance coils.
If you use the same ohm and wattage that you are using in vaporesso, it wont make any difference.

Using 50 mg salt in a high-wattage setup like the Max 2 is way too much definitely not recommended, even with the zeus MTL. (You would need to close the air intake)

The idea that “higher ohms = more nicotine” likely comes from the fact that you use higher nicotine concentrations with high-ohm setups, because they produce less vapor. It's not that they deliver more nicotine it’s just more concentrated per drop.

Lower resistance + higher power = more heat = more vapor = more nicotine per puff.

If you put 50 mg salt in a 0.2Ω coil at 60W, you’d probably regret it after one hit.

Pods like the Vaporesso are better for strong nicotine. Mods like the Max 2 are built for freebase, custom coils, and large vapor production.
    They’re completely different vaping styles.

I don't like MTL, i'm more into DL, maybe you should check it too, what you really need

This is just a simplified overview

The mod that I have in my hand will do 100 watts. So I have it set at 10 watts.
But then it is pushing 1.8 ohms. Get the idea?? If I set that coil at the 25 watts that you are using, it would burn my ears off.
So it's important first to understand how things work together. Please read my signature below. (in red)

If all you want is more nicotine, I'm using 12mg, but if I want a nic fix, I'll mix up some 24mg
When I first started vaping, it was with 24mg juice.
So simply put, buying all the new mods in the world will not fix the problem when all you need to do is increase the nicotine.
