Hi all,
I have recently make the change from smoking to vaping and I’m having a bit of trouble with getting good flavour from my vape. I have the innokin Coolfire z80.

My question is, can I use a 0.8 ohm coil with 70/30 juice as a MTL setup? I’m not really a fan of DTL (yet) and my flavour seems to disappear really quickly.

many thanks

    Greetings,

    "flavor" is very suggestive.

Generally time in vaping and storage often can reduce flavor.

There's this thing called 'vapers tongue' that reduces the strength of flavors.

As you can see from my profile pic, I have an assortment of 'squonkers', each with a different flavor. While vaping one flavor and it becomes weak and unsatisfactory, I switch to another one. :)

However, if I just need a nicotine fix I'll just vape unflavored juice.

MTL vaping tends to have a concentrated delivery of flavor which for me has never lasted very long. This is why I tend to vape using RDL. 80% of your taste comes from your smell, so it would make sense that creating more vaper would lead to a longer lasting flavor.

I've used the 0.8, 1.2, and 1.6 Ohm Z coil in the Zenith II (same tank as you) and getting wonderful taste with all of them in RDL.

Hello Kade. Welcome to the forum.

    Congratulations on quitting cigarettes.

You've had some good advice here already. Since you mention flavor, and don't mention nic strength or cravings or any other problem, I would simply suggest trying more flavors, stronger flavors, extra flavor shots.

I wish you the best on your vaping journey. The experience changes as you go deeper into it and find the adjustments you need.

As long as the flavor isn't negatively affecting the desire to vape, then it's working perfectly. The taste is just an added bonus. I hardly see any difference in flavor from one to another. It tastes sweet, is about it, but that's good enough for me. Don't let flavors sabotage your vaping experience... it's all good because you're no longer smoking.
