Hey fellow vapers i need some advice (before i throw my aga out the window)
I have setup my aga and my cobra a million times never having any issues really with wicking... Now i tried to use it again and set it up like i used to... And the darn thing refuses to wick!! I have tried the straw method and the solid method and even tried making a very lose rolling so that there was some space between the layers of ss mesh... I can take half a puff with some ok flavor and then its a dryhit that would kill a nonvaper

The liquid i use is 90+% vg and the mesh is 300#

There really shouldnt be a problem but there is

Heeeelp

vape on ^^

If it makes you feel any better, you're not the only one this has ever happened to :)

First, 300 mesh is the worst for wicking out of the usual 300, 400 and 500 that's out there. 500 is best in my experience and 400 is second. Higher VG makes this worse.

When I have not been able to get a wick to work, what has always worked for me is to roll it hollow and tilt the mod bottom up when taking a drag. The bigger the hole in the center the less tilt is needed.

I'm currently vaping 70%VG with 4% water added. I make my wicks out of 500 mesh, rolled as tight as I can. I drilled the hole in my AGA-T to 1/8" I think (been a while) and make the wick pretty snug in there. I leave the fill hole open. I coil at ~0.6 ohms. I typically don't have to tilt much at first, but by the time the tank is at 1/4 full I'm tilting every time or I get dry hits. I can vape the tank almost completely empty doing this.

ETA: Make sure you don't have a short, aka a hot spot. Syringe out the juice and burn off what's in the wick by firing the coil. All the coils should light up. If one is bright and the others are not, you have a short that will make it almost impossible to avoid burning juice in use. Do you know how to pulse out shorts?

I haven't experimented w/ H2O recently. The 2007 cigalikes didn't have the umph to process much moisture. It killed vapor production on a low powered atty. Today we have lots of power.
Did you notice if H2O seems to reduce vapor production linearly or exponentially?
Do you add water as a viscosity modifier to increase wick speed?

I add water to reduce the viscosity. I've been doing this to help wicking when needed since I first got my eGo C starter kit. I have used up to 8% with minimal reduction in vapor.

I just did a quick experiment. I have a small dripper bottle of a juice mix with a new flavoring I'm experimenting with. It had maybe 2 ml in it. I added a lot of water to it. Estimate about 1/2 a ml. Flavor and vapor production are way down but it still vapes. Exponential is accurate I think.

I suppose I adjust my diy recipes to suit my taste with the water added. I do use a Trident a lot which doesn't need the water added, but this lets me use the same juice in cartos, Genies and my Kayfun without any issues. Works for me, but as always, YMMV :)
