What are your batteries? (Samsung, yes but which type). When you press the fire button, the mod will often drop the power bars to reflect the power available. Maybe something is wrong with them.
The batteries are 18650 flat top. It's not showing the bars dropping. It has a steady blinking display of no bars on several new fully charged batteries that work in all my other miss. Very odd situation.

How long have you had it? I'd suggest, (unless you are really electrically and mechanically minded) to bring it/send it back to where you purchased it from, and or use the warranty for a replacement. If it's doing that with all your batteries, I'm going to guess it's the mod. KT products are great (when they work) some people swear by them but they do sometimes come with Quality control issues, and if a mod of mine were doing that, I'd head straight to my favorite vape shop and hand it to my electrically minded salesman, if there is one available, and if they couldn't fix it, I'd send it back. If you have a Freedom Smoke USA near you, I might go there because I think they sell more KT products than any of the other vape stores I've run into, so they may be your best bet. That being said, my electrically minded salesman who knows me by name, heh, has fixed multiple tanks or mods that I have not purchased from them, for free. Then I buy a bottle of juice to keep them in business....

Sorry I don't have more to offer as far as troubleshooting, I'm just leary of troubleshooting any mod myself, because unless I somehow *absorb* enough knowledge from this site (I am absorbing a great deal, just not enough to OMG, try to repair a mod) I'm going to find someone else to take a look at it. Never hurts, and I wouldn't try to vape on it, in the meantime, either.

Good luck!

Yeah, age will have more to do with it then how gently you used it. 3 types of mods... cheap chinese junk, mid range chinese junk and expensive chinese junk lol. You got what you paid for if it lasted 1 year, 2 years is lucky IMO. Why some folks go the mech mod route, they last forever... nothing to really break that can't be fixed with spare parts. Personally with the money I save on cigs I'm sure I could buy a new one every few months anyways so I don't mind.

It and a Smok alien were b-day presents from 2 years ago. Used them both about a week. Liked Smok better. Kanger went to the closet. It can't be used cause batteries don't register as being charged, so that's not a problem. Thanks anyway.

Batteries are new. Purchased a week ago. Working in other mods. They are 18650, flat on both ends.
We need more information on the batteries. There's a huge variance in 18650s, though most of them are flat tops. Some are not suited for vaping. They were Samsung, right? What is the model? And where did you buy them? Unfortunately there are many fakes in circulation.

I got them at a vape shop. Don't have the packaging anymore. They're working fine in the other nano I have that's just like the broken one. Wouldn't that mean they're suitable for identical mods?

Can you tell me more about looking for a video perhaps some key words or a link that you know of?
DJLSB vapes is the key word. Not sure if he takes it apart in this one but subox mini should be the same. He usually reviews then takes them apart to see quality and runs tests to see how accurate the chips are.

Kanger subox nano , with new fresh samsung battery (tried several) shows it's charging. Also charged batteries on individual charging station. I fire the unit and display blinks showing the battery needs to be charged. This unit shows every battery I have that I know for sure is fully charged as needing to be charged. Any ideas?
Welcome and glad you joined.
Could find a local B&M Vape Shop -----Might be simple.
To identify the faulty product, you really need to take it to someone who may help you eliminate and isolate the problem.
The problem could stem from so many different vape components, it's near impossible to pin point without extensive testing.
I have provided a little more information which might help choosing/evaluating batteries.
