Geoff: Does the Clove (not Kretek) come off more as a scent (nose) or a true flavor (more tongue)?

The clove is specifically that...Clove oil. You will smell it, you will taste it. Not sure what you mean by "true" flavor, but it is what it is..Clove oil. If you're really fond of the flavor of just straight clove, then you might be interested. Personally, I cringe at the thought of just straight clove, but that's me.

Well some things are more of a scent, as in they taste very light and one have to retrohale them through the nose to get more of the effect.

I was considering buying it on it's own and maybe adding some AC. I am wanting to achieve what a Djarum Black would taste like if it did not have the tobacco notes. The Kretek tastes dead up like another brand of cloves (and taste is subjective and I do not care for that brand) and Kretek liquid makes me sneeze for some reason I do not understand even when others vape it around me. Funny cos cloves never did that to me. But then again those are cigs. So this is why I am curious if clove was stronger or lighter on the tongue vs lighter (mostly nose).

I wonder if mixing Geoff's Black licorice with clove (not kretek) would be good? I know lots of people are hunting for a dajarum black still on these forums. No one makes a good one. And the things that they call Dajarum black cigars (which are really cigs) taste more tobacco now. Which is gross and I don't need to smoke anymore anyway. I know several people in my city looking for this flavor.

looks like you are on the same quest as i. in fact, i'm only getting on the e-cig bandwagon to be able to take a drag on a clove again. i've not had a cig since they were banned.

i smoked a pack of Djarum Blacks about a pack a week before they were banned. (Years ago i was much heavier with them) i've also smoked bali hais, splash, special lights, and Sampoerna Classics, but Blacks were my favorite.

if you search a bit, there's a thread here where someone posted a DIY recipe, if you'd like to take a stab mixing your own.

they had updated their recipe in the thread a couple times, and by the end had been raving that they'd really matched the unique Black flavor. I think they mentioned adding anise. So you may be able to get the ingredients from TV, cut out the tobacco flavor, and have just what you're looking for. (i'm pretty sure i commented in that thread, so if you can't find it searching "clove" or "kretek", search for threads i've posted in)

i'm placing my first order with TV right now, but i'm going to dive in head first and get the Kretek 24mg + a Kretek doubler. i'll start with the lowest nic level mix i can, and ramp up if necessary. i'm in no rush to get re-addicted to nic. but i've read enough positive reviews of this brand so i'm goin' for it.

good luck with your perfect clove quest, and if you have good results, please let me know!

Are the two of you, tj1100cl and Raechel not aware that Tasty Vapor has one of the best "Clove Cigarette" recipes going? It's called Kretek.

I MOST CERTAINLY DO!

which is why the very first dime i've spent on anything e-cig just went to the order i placed for it last night!

yes, based on the rave reviews that kretek juice has received, i've bought your juice before i even have a PV.
