lol I'm just picturing a senior citizen smoking an e-cig..lol..makes me chuckle..
Oh my! Should I stop vaping just because some might consider me a senior citizen? It's reality. Smoking and vaping is for everyone!

Truthfully it's amazing how much better I feel since I started. It got to a point where I could barely lecture anymore (professor type here) because of the coughing. It only took a handful of days for that to stop.

as a disabled vet myself barely able to make end's meet, i'd almost be insulted if everyone and their sister offered a veteran's discount. first off, almost impossible to verify, which would bring all sorts of nutjob imposters out of the woodwork. second of all, i didn't sign up for the "fringe benefits". i signed up for the opportunity to put foot to ... for ny country. everything else is simply a bonus.

Why would a senior citizen differ from any one of us who were killing themselves with cigarettes? If a senior could improve the quality of their lives by even 5 years using our product, can you imagine the honor I'd feel?

About a week ago I was at a family gathering, of course I was vaping. My uncle, who is in his late 70s, started asking questions so I let him try my PV. The flavor was Mojito, he enjoyed it. He asked if there was a cinnamon flavor (LOL) so I broke out the AC, he loved it.

After I got home I purchased a couple of kits for my aunt and uncle, both 2 PAD smokers. I'm going to give them a bunch of cartos and mix several TV flavors at various strengths to start them out, including a bunch of AC.

I never envisioned them going for a PV because they are very prim and proper (old school) but they loved it.

That is a cool story. I hope it works out for both of them. :)

As someone rapidly approaching 60, I'd say that older smokers will fall into two categories regarding vaping:

1) I've tried for years to quit smoking. I was beginning to think I wouldn't ever be able to do it and had resigned myself of dying from a cigarette-related disease. But I think these PVs might actually work for me.

2) I've made it xx years without cigarettes killing me and, at this point, I'm too old to change. Besides, with or without cigarettes, I won't live that many more years anyway.

There are a LOT of group 1 people (including me) at ECF.

Don't let the FDA hear or see you say that! lol

Yeah no doubt. But it's because the FDA hasn't been able to do their territorial pissing on this phenomena is their whole beef.

I won't even BEGIN to say that my product will help you stop smoking. But I will say I'm happy to change the quality of my life using something that isn't killing me like the other stuff that they HAVE approved that WAS INDEED killing me.

But hey, it may also roll down to a matter of statistics too. Now that there (could be) 500,000 people a year who don't have to die because of "the other stuff", we might just be running into population control problems.

Maybe they were actually COUNTING on all of us kicking the bucket. Veterans, seniors, teenagers alike. I mean from their perspective, that's 500,000 less people putting a strain on the healthcare system, right?

(Ooh, am I saying bad things, please forgive me in advance and please disregard anything I just said above, instead I offer you sunshine, lollypops and a promise to never say anything further that may stir a pot of poop with any of our appointed government officials)

I'm a newbie who hasn't even received my first order of supplies yet, but I understand Geoff's position completely. I also empathize with the vet, or anybody, who struggles to make ends meet in 2010.

It seems to me that Geoff and a couple of other vendors make an artisanal product that is thought very highly of by the people who have tried it. Presumably they are offering it at as fair a price as they can. Geoff has decided to offer the doubler option instead of jumping on the coupon code bandwagon. Bottom line, no one goes into business to make friends, there has to be a profit.

There are a couple of vendors people here seem to regard pretty highly who offer product at about half of what Geoff is asking for his juice. I doubt the quality is the same as what Geoff offers, but I am also sure that some may find flavors from these vendors that satisfy.

There is room in the world for a $100 bottle of booze and a $10 bottle of booze. If cost is an object, you aren't going to buy a single malt scotch every week, but you'll enjoy one when you can afford it. It boils down to what you are willing to pay for a product you derive pleasure from, and what you can afford.

Looking forward to trying the Kretek sometime, by all accounts you nailed it.

While we are on the subject, how about a discount for us lawyers? I mean, we always get such bad press, put up with lawyer jokes, and get such negative comments from everyone.... oh, how it hurts! :(

We deserve a break from the e-liquid suppliers so we can feel motivated to go on with this thankless role in society. (with tongue planted firmly in cheek) :p

Hmm...I wonder why people get such bad opinions of lawyers??
