Began vaping on 6-22-2010 - no analogs since. Tore up my throat with PG liquids first two days using Joye Ego automatic and manual battery. Now, throat hit is not as important as a satisfying delicious flavor. Discovered Wiltons Glycerine to cut PG(18mg) way down....loved the sweetness the VG added to my vape. Also added a little distilled water to thin this mix. Found I get better flavor with the automatic battery with full fluval cart than with manual battery with full fluval cart. Manual battery seems to heat the atty hotter than the automatic battery does. I know dripping is a no-no for the automatic battery, but ok for manual. My plastic carts have wavy edges now with the manual battery where they are next to the atty. Are they too long? I wondered if the voltage of the automatic and Ego batteries were the same and if more or less voltage affects the flavor? If I ordered flavorless nicotine to add to my mix, will it make the vape harsher....I am nicotine starved!!

... Manual battery seems to heat the atty hotter than the automatic battery does. Might B due to technique-- manual batts are more efficient @ powering an atty vs. sucking on a batt to activate it. I know dripping is a no-no for the automatic battery, but ok for manual. My plastic carts have wavy edges now with the manual battery where they are next to the atty. Are they too long? No. try not to take frequent long drags-- keep the heat down in the atty. I wondered if the voltage of the automatic and Ego batteries were the same and if more or less voltage affects the flavor? Voltage affects the amount of wattage (heat) produced, heat affects flavor. If I ordered flavorless nicotine to add to my mix, will it make the vape harsher....I am nicotine starved!! No. It will diminish the flavoring of your liquid-- it should vape just fine.

Hope this helped.
