I know it's probably too early... but has anyone heard anything from the Illinois contingent? The anticipation is killing me. Would really love to know how they were received.

I'm with ya! Keep checking back here in hopes of an update. I'm sure they have a lot to cover though and they may not even have gotten to it yet.
I keep running into the house from working in the garage to vape and check the forum. I'm hopeless.

The bill was not passed BUT it was moved for next week. Was a good hour long arguement from both sides. We are thinking the bill is going to be ammended a bit and re-introduced next week. Another long trip ahead...

I lost all faith in humanity as a whole a long, long time ago, but this is still infuriating. I know that a large percentage of people can't be left to their own devices, they really need someone to tell them what to think and when to be afraid. I know that there just aren't enough rational, self-aware and fair-minded folks inhabiting this country to take over and run things properly. I can accept those facts even though they are unfortunate and depressing. The question that looms ever larger in my mind is why in the world do we put up with being ruled by the most intellectually deficient amongst us instead of the least?
I'm starting to get the idea that we could really do with an enlightened Illuminati. We'd have to keep the facade of elected government in place to pacify the masses who think their small-minded, prejudiced and uninformed opinions should be applied to everyone around them, but the real power belongs to the shadow council. All they'd need is a way to cast an absolute veto on any legislation. That one ability would all but prevent the effects of the systemic idiocy that seems to be required of our elected officials.

That one little bitty 1000th of a micromillilmeter.. whatever..they tested and found "suposed" carcinogen has become the rally cry of all the anti's. You would think the Lung society would understand. What we are vaping is close to what the inhalers have in them!
What makes me the maddest is that they took two suppliers samples..the worst two I might add and said they were ALL the same! That's like testing a McDonald burger and saying BAN MEAT!

If the Illinois public health committee (and especially the uninformed chairperson and sponsor) was really interested in public health yesterday, they would have been trying to ban sales of tobacco cigarettes in the state of Illinois !!!
I hope Illinois vaporers also meet with the governor asap.
My perfect world would be where all of the politians every where would be put on a deserted island and left there so they wouldn't bother the rest of us. Just my .02 worth
