This is a copy/paste from the V2 Cigs forum. Im Looking for a QUALITY ecig that is similar to the V2 style. I did some research before I decided on a ecig and the one that had the ebst review on smokersutopia rated V2 as the ebst bang for your buck. Im looking for omething that has alot of Vapor and is similar size/look of a cigarette. I dont want a mod I want to smoke it in public.

So I've ordered 2 Starter kits now from V2. The first one contained nicotine carts and was ordered on July 22/13. On July 25/13 it was "presented to Canada Border Services Agency for customs review." And when I called CBSA they said the Nicotine carts were Illegal and wold most likely be confiscated. SO I asked her whether the non-nicotine carts were LEGAL and she said "No, ecigs, although arent recommended by Health Canada, are not ILLEGAL, only the Nicotine cartridges are".

So I Reordered the same order, paying another 100$ after taxes and shipping costs, this time without any nicotine in the carts. Well it arrived In Canada on Aug 5/13 and was once again " presented to Canada Border Services Agency for customs review." I did research before I reordered and most of what I came across said that as long as there is no nicotine in the carts it wasnt ILLEGAL so I have no diea why my second order was sent for further evaulation again. Im ...... off since thats now 200$ that CBSA has taken. When I call they tell me that it can be up to 3weeks for health Canada to make a decision.

Is there a V2 cigs vendor in Canada? Or a reseller or something? ive bought the 7-11 ecigs and the grocery store ones and they are all terrible and was really looking forward to my V2 ecig.

Sorry for the long post pretty ...... off though.

I had a v2 order stopped as well. all the did was send it back. V2 called me, I repaid shipping and got my order no problems. That doesnt change the fact that a cigalike is still a cigalike, v2 is maybe a little better than some, not nearly as good as the volt.

My question is why can't you vape a mod in public. I seen a 65 year old couple vaping nice mods, loving every minute of it. If they can do it anyone can.

It's always the same. They do it just to piss us off. SOmeone has to get a restraining order against CBSA from doing this.

In the interim maybe we can flood CBSA and Health Canada inspections at the international entry points with calls

I am not sure if this can be related, but I did read a interesting article recently about "property rights" and how the Canadian border crossing has their own rules on this. If you enter the US then cross back into Canada they can declare anything from your underware to your cell phone.....all the way up to your vechile as "illegal".
I am beginning to wonder if this is what is happening in this case and Canada Crossing Officer's are just throwing HC under the bus?

"Their own rules" must be tied to the law, if they aren't then they are guilty of infringing on the citizen's rights.

We need a sticky on this from a qualified lawyer!!!!

Kat has completely changed my view on mods. After seeing how big actual mods are, and how the quality of cigalikes are compared to mods, I'm hoping my V2 orders get sent back lol. So glad I decided to do some research on Canadian Vapers before I tried to buy another cigalike.

Thanks Kat!

Projectguy you seem to have a pretty good grasp on what the CBSA can and cannot do as far as ecigs. When I called, CBSA had said that HC takes it and they have 3weeks from when it arrived at the boarder to make a decision. Its now been 3 weeks and 2 days and still nothing. I'm not entirely sure what to do at this point. Kat had directed me to Rainbowvaper where I updated myself with the laws, but still not sure how to approach CBSA.

Thanks

You are very welcome Jibtech!

To get back onto the OP's original question - there is a place in Quebec that you can buy V2 cigs from Boutique Cigarettes Électroniques Québec if you really wish to buy a V2 ecig.

But as I said in my pm to you Jibtech, there is a plethora of e-cigs out there for way less money that will give you more bang for your buck.

When we meet up for coffee and you see what is possible then I think you will be able to make a more informed decision on your first kit. :)
