Hello all. I haven't touched my Ihybrid F3cta in a while now, not really a fan of the genny style anymore. Been sucking on this ancient Zmax that's on its last leg with a nautilus aspire that has been dropped, separated and re-assembled a few times. I have loads of organic cotton, and almost 100ft of Kanthal 30 gauge.

Not exactly anyone's wish list material, I know. I'm being honest.

I have saved about $250 to get myself a new setup by making my own juices. Chasing clouds would be nice, but I'm a full-time student with a job and a family to support so it's probably not going to be anything hardcore.

So, would any kind ECFers like to help me out with a few suggestions? Something similar to an iHybrid would be nice, I like the idea of it being one unit, but two things that go together nicely would also make me happy. I'm tired of lugging around a frankenstein. I want something nice for a change.

Any suggestions there? Maybe suggestions regarding wire size, wicking media, or batteries? I'd like that sorry I wasn't a bit more specific as far as my wants in the OP. Taking care of the youngest ATM and my mind is elsewhere.

I recently bought a SMPL clone by Wotofo A-MOD, and it is awesome.
Couple that with a Veritas, and it's vape heaven.
I totally understand going cheap, especially with kiddos in the mix.
For a tank, get a Tobecco Orchid V4 clone.
For a dripper, get a Veritas clone
For the mech, get a SMPL clone from A-MOD.
All of these together will be less than $60.00 if you search around.

Are clones really all that good? I remember when they were cheap knock-offs that weren't up to par. Is it okay to get an original? You know, for the sake of quality and giving the guy who thought it up some credit? Man, have things changed in the last year or so!

I do apologize if I'm seemingly knocking down everyone's ideas. I really am looking up all of these great devices and getting ideas. But place your brain in a time machine and travel back about a year and a half, then you'll see why I'm so disenchanted by the word "clone". Crap, my first mechanical mod was an Empire. It was amazing! Then, after a bit they came out with the K-100 and I became sad. Oh well. Maybe I'm being too picky. Damn age is catching up with me.

I've tried the Aspire Atlantis on a mech, and it rocks. Had lips on one meself. Very nice clearo/tank for reasonable cheddar. Again, fires on a good old fashioned mech like a champ. The Kanger Subtank may also be great, while offering a rebuildable head to get your RBA jollies on. However, it is a Kanger product, and for sure YMMV.

Have not played, nor seen in person, the Kanger. My local shop quit carrying them because their quality consistency is just in the toilet floating around. But that is an option.

Also, if you feel really brave, you could chance it on the Kanger Aerotank series with the Turbo. With two duals @ 1.6, you should end up with a mild sub-ohm that might fire well on a mech.

Lots of stuff that Fasttech or eBay could answer better than a forum. Just saying.

Are you locked on a mech? I used to be a DIEHARD mech guy until the newer regulated mods started coming out. They just blow mechs out of the water in performance and usability and there are some small regulated mods.
For $250 you can get the SX Mini (IMO one of the best on the market), a nice dripper clone, a couple batteries and some 24g kanthal and have an AMAZING setup.

I have a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 and 2 sony VTC 4 batteries. That being said, with these batteries, I'm pretty sure I'm limited to a minimum of .2 ohms. That's fine with me for now.

Like I said, I've been looking at all your links that you guys have given me, and checked out the devices, but I also followed some link trails and checked out some reviews. Your input has been valuable. That being said, I think I have found a decent setup, tell me what y'all think. Is this stuff still relevant in today's cloud chasing scene? You might also consider the Marquis. I just bought one as my first dripper. From what I understand, it's easier to set up than the Veritas.

Now that looks nice. I like the pins that come with it, which I presume are for coil wrapping. Nice touch.
