So,

got my first device, an omega, which I'll be using at 6v, for now.

So, I know I shouldn't, and probably won't, do this, but what would happen if I fired it with a LR atty on ? ha.

I'm wondering exactly what I need to do to get 1. a good throat hit and 2. nice vapor.

I've been using an vgo and infiniti ion and those are okay, but definitely not fabulous, and they definitely decline in quality very quickly. I need to order some atomizers for 6v vaping, and I'm wondering if I should go HV or standard? is there a significant difference?

what about cartos? The thing is, dripping is a huge pain. the drip tips never work, they just blow juice back into my face. I've heard CE2s are good, but not at 6v. I want a strong TH more than anything else, but I hate when I get no vapor at all. Will a carto do this better than an atomizer? how long should a cartomizer last?

Thanks.

In re: to what an LR atty will do at 6V: It depends really. Some mods can handle some decent amps. If the omega (sorry I don't know enough about that particular mod to be more specific) can put out the amps required, then you'll have an amazing amount of heat at the element. This could pop the element very quickly, killing the atty. But the mod may not be able to handle that many amps, in which case, you might kill the mod.

In re: to standard resistance vs HR: Really, it will depend on the juice you are using. Juices taste different depending on how hot you "cook" them. If you like sweeter juices (like me) you will probably want some decent resistance in your atty. For the sweet stuff I like to vape, 3.5 ohm with 6V is peachy. Is there a difference, oh yeah. If you "cook" a sweeter juice at a high wattage (wattage = volts squared / resistance) , it will taste like crap. Maybe not the first hit, maybe not the second hit, but definitely by the third. If you like less sensitive juice, you can probably get away a standard res atty but I'd try em both.

As far as end hardware (atty/carto) info and suggestions (I'll be as brief as I can, sorry for the length in advance): Some folks like cartos, some like attys. I'm an atty kinda guy. I have tried to like cartos, really I have. I loved the idea of being able to load up a few cartos with different flavors and be able to switch between them when ever I wanted to. I looked high and low for a carto that I liked using. I think I tried 7 or 8 different cartos. I chain vape, and none of em could wick fast enough to keep up with me. The first hit was always great, and then afterwards, not so much. This has little to do with the voltage you are using. There are folks that swear by em, though, so by all means, if you want to try 'em, please do. You'll never know what you are gonna like more until you do :) The best 2 carto brands I found were boge and IKenVape with IKenVape as my favorite.

As far as getting good TH and a large volume of vapor: In general, the end hardware (carto/atty) is arguably the most important part of the whole rig. You could have the best mod ever, but if you put a piece of crap atty/carto on it, you are not gonna be pleased with the results. The juice you use will play a HUGE part on what atty/carto will work best for you. I vape juice that is between 80%PG-20%VG and 60P/40V depending on the flavor and all of the flavors are sweet (fruits, sodas, chocolate, coffee). The very best attys I have found are joye and IKenVape. Neither one of em are exactly cheap, but they work great, and they last. At 6V, the only atty I like using is IKenVape 510HV (3.5ohm). It just so happens that they are in stock right now as well (this isn't always the case).

I hope this helps, enjoy you new mod :)
