Getting ready to place my first order - Questions

I'm going to go ahead and take the plunge and become a Vaper today.
I'm gonna go with the Red Ego from Liberty Flights, DIY supplies from Freedom Smokes, and flavors from Vapor Bomb. My initial purchase will determine whether I try and get my Wife to make the switch as well.
I had a few questions about the extras:
1. Does 0mg flavor mean no nicotine?(i.e. pure flavoring?)
2. How do I get plain Menthol flavor? (for the wife)
3. Do I need extra Atomiser(since it comes with 2)
4. Do the EGO XL cartridges fit the regular Ego?
5. What is a good mix for PG/VG (I'm thinkin 50/50)
6. Is a Cartomiser a good choice for a Noob?

1. yes
2. Try the Arctic Ice from Vapor Bomb (I smoked Marlboro Menthol Lights, but I really like the Fire & Ice, great mix of cinnamon and menthol).
3. I always order too much of everything, two atomizers would be fine to start with, but since you're already ordering, I'd get one or two more.
4. You need to get eGo XL atomizers to fit the eGo XL cartridge.
5. I prefer 80pg/20vg, but that's all personal preference. Start with the 50/50 then try different combinations until you find what works for you.
6. Again, personal preference. I don't like cartomizers, I prefer the 510 whistle tip cartridges with a regular 510 atty. The XL cartridges and cartomizers feel like I've got a huge cigar in my mouth.

1-yes,2-check juice description,3-yes,at lest 1 more,4-yes,5-50/50 good or 70/30,6 - yes, try to get some of the ce r4 carto's, a pack of five will last a long time, you will need a syringe to fill them. Most places sell them separately.

Yup. No nicotine, just flavored juice.

Menthol with no tobacco flavor? You might be able to get that from VaporBomb.

I would get at least 2 extra atty's, 4 if you can afford them. You never know when one will pop or be DOA.

Yes, but you'll need to buy a Mega atomizer to go with them.

5. What is a good mix for PG/VG (I'm thinkin 50/50)
50/50 is probably a good place to start.

6. Is a Cartomiser a good choice for a Noob?
You are certainly free to give them a try. Cartridges are usually easier to work with starting out, and I wouldn't go with Mega's right off the bat.

Welcome RedneckHippy. From your questions, it looks like your initial research has put you at a better starting point than many (myself included) here.

1. Yes: Omg just means no nicotine, but the typical blend of PG or VG with flavoring. Good for quitting nicotine altogether or for mixing with higher-nic juices to get the level you want.

2. There are a lot of different menthol juices out there. As one who seldom smoked menthol, I don't think my recommendations deserve a lot of credence. That said, I found Tasty Vapor's Menthol Tobacco very satisfying. But you'll likely here from others with their own ideas.

3. Never hurts to have more on hand. Some last for months. Some die in hours.

4. Yes (+ what the others say about the atomizer to match).

5. Your initial choice and experimentation are what it's about. VG is pretty widely agreed to diminish flavor but improve vapor production (which I care little about). I tend to go 100% PG, but occasionally go with 10-20% VG if I want to see a little more vapor come out on the exhale. OTOH, many here use only 100% VG. (The guy in my avatar is probably 100% VG. I think he produces vaping videos.)

6. I have no carto experience (although I'm considering trying some out for the larger capacity). The usual cartridges versus cartomizers question ought (even for the beginner) to include the third alternative of direct dripping onto the atomizer, and to me that approach definitely works better than cartridges. (I dislike the fussiness of cartridges.) I'd strongly recommend you include a drip tip or two in your order, and I see that Liberty Flights sells them.

Hello, and welcome to the forums. I'll answer you questions to the best of my knowledge.
1. Yes. That means 0 nic, just flavor.
2. Most juice suppliers have a tobacco menthol flavor. She may also like some other minty flavors, like mint chocolate.
3. It is always wise to lave a couple extra attys on hand.
4. You will need an XL atty in order to use the XL cart.
5. VG has more flavor, and vapor, while PG gives better throat hit, so that is up to you.
6.Cartomizers can be great for while you are out, and about, but if you are home, dripping on an atty is the way to go. Don't forget a drip tip.

Just to make sure it's clear, 0mg juice is not pure flavoring. It is juice with the same concentration of flavoring as the nic juice, somewhere around 5 to 20 precent. Flavorings for DIY are a different item.

As far as menthol, consider menthol crystals or concentrated menthol (crystals already disolved) available from many supliers. You can make any juice a menthol using these.

Cartridges are easier than cartomizers? LOL. I would say the exact opposite. Anyhow, I would avoid the EGO mega cartomizers and get the standard BOGE 510, IMO. The reviews have not been that good AND you have to fill them with a needle...

As everyone knows on here by now, lol, think carridges have very limited value. It is either cartomizer or drip, IMO.

I agree with TheBuss....if you do go with cartomizers, do the Boge 510 (regular) 510 cartomizers. The Mega cartomizers for the eGo are a real pain (my opinion...but many other agree...not all). I think cartomizers are a little easier than cartridges, but the both have a place in my kit...I like them both for different reasons/situations.

If the boge 510 are like these smoketip kr808 cartos they are seriously hassle free...prefilled is cheaper than buying analogs...and refilling isn't that hard and much cheaper....I think if I was going to give any of my older relatives an ecig it would be cartomizer only as it is just so simple to use, the only down side to these kr808 is about one in 10 I buy prefilled last half as long juice wise as the rest (but again if you fill your own..not a problem)

From Liberty Flights I got the JOYE - EGO 510 - Standard Bundle, an EGO case, 10 5ml bottles, 5 10ml bottles. $76.10(with code)

From Freedom Smokes I got 60ml of 60mg(50/50) smoke Juice, 125ml VG, 125 ml PG, some menthol crystals, 10 pipettes, 3 syringes, 10ml Marbro, and 10 blank cartridges. $62.62(with code)

From VaporBomb I got 5ml of the following: Max ultimate menthol, Desert Ship, Harrys Irish cream, Arctic Ice, and bluberry $23.66(with code)

Grand Total of $162.38.

A little more than I wanted to do up front, but that should hold me over for awhile.

If you like the taste of menthol crystals try menthol freeze or menthol freeze X2 from StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop! both are pretty powerful menthols and are really good.
