Hi all,
This is my first post here in reoville! I am pricing out everything to grab my first reo and have a couple of questions. First off, how often do blems typically make it onto the site? I am also looking into batteries. I am new to the mech game and am having a hard time figuring out the truth about the batteries that are being sold. I want to have the ability to go fairly low in terms of resistance, say .3. Are the aw imr 1600mah really 24A continuos or is that pulse? If those are not, what do people recommend to safely operate at that resistance without pushing a battery past the continuous discharge? Sony Vtcs are getting hard to find with no guaranteed production in the future otherwise it would be a no brainer.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Jordan

The AW 1600s are 24A continuous, in the same way Sony VTCs are 30A continuous.

It's not safe to build coils and hope the pulse rating of your batteries will get you out of trouble. Always build withing the continuous discharge rating.

BTW Xtar just went into partnership with Sony and is rebadging the VTC4s. So Sony's are still available. Orbtronic sx30s are also rebadged VTC4s.

Nice to meet you and would love to see you in reoville. Don't forget to check the classifieds too. I've seen some great deals there. Good luck to you and congrats on the decision to go after the best.
