Hi all,

I'm Kelvin and I'm looking at getting my first e-cig, thought this would be a good place to get started.

I'm sure there must be some sort of "E-Cig for dummies" posts around here but my search terms aren't bringing me them.
So thought I'd ask as part of my intro.

Yeah I've kind of made a decision that I'd start with a Joytech eVic, don't ask me why this and why not that it's just a preference of mine lol, asking that is the same question as iPhones vs Android and it never ends well.

But what I DO want to find out is I know there's the unit, there's the e-juice, there's also an atomiser and maybe a cartridge?
And there's a cartomiser which I'm guessing is a combo of atomiser and cartridge?
So do the unit, atomiser+cartridge and liquid cover everything I need to start vaping?

Basically I want the cartridge to hold bit more volume (preferably 2-3 days worth of dose) so that if I hang out in a pub after a long day at work it won't run out on me. Obviously Joytech suggestion would be great, as it means I can just order everything from the same seller (H-G customers here anyone?)

Also, in Australia we are allowed to, via personal import, buy 3 months dosage of e-juice, but how much in volume is 3 month?? I'm currently a half-pack a day analog smoker so what would be a rough estimate of my daily consumption?

Cheers guys.
Kelvin.

the Evic is a pretty high tech pv for starting off.. it just came out like a month ago so I dont have 1 but I think it has ego/510 threads so it can use tanks, clearomizer or carto's .. I prefer clearomizers which hold around 1.6 to 2ml of juice which is what i use for a day. you will need some of them (like 5) they can be cleaned/rinsed and used again.. need batteries and charger unless the evic is a kit.. and juice for me I would use 180ml for 3 months

Thanks guys for all the advices.

I ended up getting the eVic (Myehhh), and the eGo CEX 1.6cc clearomiser, that's actually what I was expecting. Compact, and 1.6ml marks one day worth of dosage so all I gotta do is fill in like 2 bottles just in case.

I know I can push my mate to take over the eVic while I hunt for a better one (if I dont like it for whatever reason). I already know caramel + choc tastes like what I like, just ordered myself a yogurt flavour for the bravery of it.

I know I'm not using the e-cig to quit smoker, as the guy who showed the eGo-C to me said, its a replacement cigarette, I'll be quitting everything altogether in about 3-5 months time.

Until then, just trying to get the best of stuffs.

Hi Kelvin:)Welcome to the forum. A lot of us find that we vaped more than we ever smoked so be prepared for that just in case. Try ordering as many bottles of liquid as you can in the smallest bottles you can get at 1st. Also try some different PG/VG ratios and different nic strengths. This way you won't get stuck with a ton of any flavor that you end up not liking. Then make another order for larger bottles of the ones you like in the PG/VG ratio and nic strength you like best. I would recommend trying maybe 3 different vendors because some vendors have like a base taste to all of their liquids and if you don't like one vendors liquids you will be sure to like another. It sounds like you really did do your homework. Good luck and happy vaping
