It's been recommended that I try DIY. I discussed it with the hubby and he's given me the go.

I want things to be as simple as possible. I don't care about kit/ no kit but I would at least to start just stick with one vendor. Are there any recommendations for quality and fairly reasonable prices going with one vendor?

I'm sure I'll branch out but while I'm figuring this out the simpler the better.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you're going to mix by weight, the nicotine vendor I linked to in your other thread where I posted the videos has pretty much everything you need to get started, including a good scale at a reasonable price (actually a little cheaper than what I paid on Amazon).

The only thing is they may not have the brand of flavoring you might end up wanting. I don't know, just saying. But they have everything else.

I never bought from them, but many others here have.

I think I'm going to go with two vendors. I found one (suggested above) that has the flavors I want to start with. Mostly TFA and Capella (may have spelled that wrong). they both seem to be well-liked here.

Then the one you linked to because the other does not have a scale kit and I didn't really like their scale offerings. (That video was super helpful BTW, thank you) That's not overly complicated. I went small on the flavorings with a lot of variety (mostly so I could get free shipping and figure out what I like).

I like 70/30 VG/PG do you have a recommendation on my nicotine base? I was thinking VG would make the most sense am I right? and I need those little pipette things yes? I'm overwhelmed and excited all at once.

Also if anyone has any tips on mixing and steeping with minimal to no equipment... I can't buy too much at once but I want to have what I need to at least start once everything comes in.

They have an e-liquid mixer that looks suspiciously like a milk frother. Is it worth getting? The price doesn't look jacked up.

Being that you seem to be very preferential to a clean taste, you may be one of those DIYers that won't be satisfied with anything but the most expensive nic bases, like Nude Nicotine. So I can't personally really recommend a nic base to you as all I use is the cheapest (HeartlandVapes house brand).

As far as whether you should go with VG or PG based nicotine, that's your call. I prefer PG because I hear that's better for long-term storage and also because it's easier to deal with (VG is thick like molasses when cold and thick as table syrup when warm).

I don't use one of those right now but you're right, it's likely just a rebranded frother. But I have read that you don't want to use one of those too much on eliquid.

I DIY mix and have been for about 5 years now. I'm about done with my last liter of pre-mix base (PG/VG/nic already mixed), and then I'll start mixing both PG & VG into 100 mg/ml nic base that I have in the freezer. I vape both the mixed base alone (also called 'unflavored') and sometimes a bit of flavor added to it first. I have four different flavors which I usually only use one at a time although sometimes I'll use two of them together. I mix by volume instead of weight since I don't care to be too exact in the amounts of liquids I mix together. I have a 30 ml syringe and a few measuring cups that have ml markings on them. By 'not too exact' I mean I have markings in my head that are 'above or below or on' the line.

Another thought before you start mixing and you kinda touched on it, making up your mind what you want. If you haven't already, go visit some juice recipe websites and look at a few recipes to kinda get an idea of the percentages of the flavorings being used. Gives you a referrence point to work from.

I have a friend who is sending me some samples to get started and figure out if it's going to be my thing and hopefully figure out what I like. I'll go from there.
