Getting the right ohm

Do ohms vary by coils or length of wire? At first I kept on thinking I was wrapping it to tight but now I'm thinking shorter wire. Keep getting 4 ohms.

The best way is to measure with a multimeter before you wrap the coil, you can pick one up that'll do the job for 10-20 bucks.
btw, I don't see the link either, and I'm using a pc.

You have to do the calculation but shows ohm's per inch for the wire your using.

You must be using some very high gauge wire to be getting a 4 ohm coil at all. What exactly are you using? What device are you coiling?
