I leave the mouthpiece on and use a glue remover (wal-mart in the paint department). Put it on a towel first and then start rubbing. Becareful to not get it on the mouthpiece or on the threads. vaping it could be dangerous. After the glue is off, take a clean rag and some rubbing alcohol, pga, or vodka and wipe it off really well.

I heard if you stick in the freezer over night that it would help loosen the sticker off. :)
It makes it a little easier but not much, and your still stuck with the glue to get off, some carto's are easier than others, but the ones I have used are tough to get the glue off. The only thing that has worked for me is Goof-Of or acetone or paint thinner, on a paper towel, and it rubs off well.

Thanks for all the replies and ideas. I took 10 of them off today, 6 were easy, nice slow removal, no residue. 2 had a little bit of residue left that I got off with some everclear. 3 of them were horrible and used WD40 on a paper towel, followed by everclear, and a really good wipe down. My only concern is a chemical residue left over even after thoroughly cleaning with everclear and a dry towel.

I agree I like the vegetable oil, especially when someone is using the carto in a tank!!

I discovered the vegetable oil trick back when i was messing with antiques and needed to get old stickers off items and not ruin the finish. It doesn't just immediately dissolve off, but glue residue will come off with light rubbing. I was pleased to find out it also worked with carto stickers.
