GGTB battery question

Gaz I've been using AW's since 2006 and never had a problem with any,they'll last you years.


4 AW 17670 should get you a few days of vaping,it depends how you vape.



[edit] I've read "but" only on a couple that the AW label may have to be removed but 9 times out of ten they should slide in no probs

one will last you a full day with moderate to heavy use, so if you can keep one freshly charged while the other is vaping, then two will suffice and will last you several years.

ok ive just ordered 2 from johns link.
it is getting a little irritating swapping the 14500s batts, im assuming you lads found this as well.

Hi Gaz assuming the TF 14500 are 900mAh labeled we can guess there more like 650 to 700mAh in reality,so a 17670 labeled at 1600 mAh at a guess they're more like 1300mAh in reality or near abouts so you should get double the run time,or near abouts.

I could be totally wrong of course and it may only apply to the cheaper China batteries.

the GGTB is my first multi battery unit, having used the SD for the past 11 months i never really had too make any battery decisions.
i had just assumed as my SD MK2 TW BATTS 18350s were 900 mAh that the 14500s would be just the same.
any way got some new ones coming now, i will report back when ive had a go on them.

well me batts have arrived, one is fine one is tight, i took off the AW label, it is still a bit tight slides in but dont slide out so easy, pencil does it though, ive now got them on charge.
when there flat what is the charge time, i like to have them on a socket timer,i am using ultrafire wf139 charger.

They normally come pretty charged about 40%+ from flat about 3 to 4 hrs maybe a tad less,this is the thing with any battery circumference can vary battery to battery I've found.



[edit] Oh I have the same charger and I don't worry if I leave mine on longer as it has a cut off and doesn't continue to charge,so you cant over charge IIRC

hi john,
just took them off been on only an hour and were green.
any other tips regarding the stiff one ie: when loading it in and making sure its touching the attie end.
ive got it in now and its fine, just thinking do i leave it a tad high and let the push down happen as i screw in the attie cap.

Gaz you can do that or loosen the end cap slightly then screw the atty cap on.

Also imeo supplied a sturdy spring in the end cap to last not a bad thing but I did shorten mine a tad so end caps screw all the way down.

with both lots of batts mine screw down fully, its a bit fiddly with the 14500s and the false battery but i prefer to use the whole false battery rather than just the larger piece as it would scratch the attie cap or the pos end of the battery, if that makes sense.
