GGTS Draw Lid withe Oddy

I have just found a New Oddy with upgrade, it's being posted to me now, but slightly confused, why do all the pics I see of GGTS's not have the breass/S/Steel ajustable draw lid on them when an Oddy is being used??
Or am I missing something here??

With the ody on the ggts adapter it will go right in the collector tank. No need for the cap.

The origional Ody base had a 510 connector. If that is the only base you have you will need adapters to make it work. The most common way to do it is a 901 rethreader and a 901 to 510 adapter. In this way you are kinda only using 1 adapter and it sits flush with the top of the controll tank so the draw controll cap is not needed. It is also IMHO the best looking and easiest way to keep draw controll. You can use other adapters ie 510 to 901 and 901 to 510 but this makes it sit slightly raised from the draw controll cap and unless you put an o-ring in there you lose draw controll.

Most peoplt bought the Ody GGTS base though and that is probably most of what you are seeing. With this base no adapter is needed since the base actually threads into the same threads the draw controll cap use.
