To keep o-rings in good contition, to protect threads from tarnish and to have a smooth threading prossedure put vaseline often on threads and on all o-rings

If you want to clean the knurled pieces you can use clean white gazoline.

Imeo

Good advice Imeo, that will keep your o-rings fresh, and free from cracking .... it would also be good idea to buy spare o-rings so ya have no down time, or leak time.

Very true Tim! It also protects threads. You will see that threads are getting a little black after 1 day. They get cleaned themselfs. You wipe them and they are like new again. You put vaseline before use. Bit a big quantity. Only a little just to see your hand wet

What bout Noalox? Imeo... How do ya feel bout that for the threads? I wonder if it would work on the o-ring too..prolly a little messy...better off with Vaseline on the o-ring...

-Tim

Noalox maybe is toxic so we have to be careful. We cant put it on threads where liquid touch for sure. Noalox is for better contactivity too so we can put it on button threads, telescope threads, engraved piece threads, extension's threads. Thats all Tim my friend

I just put vaseline on my GGTS #605 (got it Thursday from Rob)....It's very nice....threads are much smoother..it makes the whole unit feel even better. Plus my bottom cap was a little tricky to thread...this made it much easier. Was looking around town for Noalox but couldn't find it anywhere..so I just used vaseline...pretty much everywhere lol (not on the atomizer connector though) Really enjoying my GG so far..It's my first!

The Noalox is good for thread to thread on metal fittings only, I wouldn't use it on anything that may get near your juice or the inner tank, Vaseline works best on all Orings, even the military mechanics use Vaseline on many of the Oring fittings they work on.!

You are right, I worked on F1-11's in the early 90's and all the o-rings were installed with Vaseline (exept oxygen systems). We also used a crimping compound (for electrical bonding connections) made from Vaseline with zink oxide. This is sold in the UK as Sudacrem for nappy rash, it just has some perfume in it. You could use that instead of Noalox. Daz

Geoff,

Vaseline is harmless if swallowed or vaped, I would stick to this instead of anything else that may have other additives in it they not only may not be safe to ingest but could effect your liquids as well, you dont want to be vaping anything that may have these other additives even perfume.!

Yeah Noalox is perfect for thread wich are not in contact with eliquids.
I use a special oil for top threads.
