Groovy Guys!

Thanks for the quick responses. Looks like a good investment, but it is growing in price. Might just hold out for a UFS

What do ya mean about growing in price? because of the cost of adapters or something. I have the SS version and am really enjoying it on my SS ggts.

IMHO it never hurts to have the adapters and I picked up both for less then 10 bucks I believe you never know when you are going to want to use a tank or iAtty

Just meant that the $50.00 tank is fast approaching $100 after the adapters, shipping to canada, and some slotted cartos. I might just hold out and get the UFS when the new batch is done

That is a really good point, I totally forgot that the iAtty requires an adapter for the GGTS. I definitely want to pick up an iAtty too...

Okay, I have to ask in spite of it sounding a little ignorant. When you slot the cartos using a dremel or other cutting tool, what keeps the tiny metal particles from potentially getting into the air path?

I have my AVS to hold me until the UFS are made and the updated iAtty but this has bugged me since I saw the slotting process on the instructional video these guys make. I know the filler should stop most of it but sstill, can someone enlighten me as to how you can't wind up inhaling a particle or two?

+1 on the rethreader. I used the chained 510-901/901-510 at first, but switched to the rethreaders when I read about them. My GGTS is now a good 1/2" shorter.
I used the rethreader I got with my GGTS and a 901-510 adapter without the top cap on the collector tank and it worked perfect with air control and everything.

Your probably do inhale some, Major, but I doubt it'd cause any real damage. I'm sure the average person inhales much worse just walking around a city.

I am sure there are disadvantages to punching but that is why I use punched instead of sloted

I'm sure I'm just being a tad paranoid to ask but I did take a large pinch out of a fresh can of Copenhagen a few years back and knew something wasn't right when I was spitting more blood than juice. Wound up spending a couple hours in the ER getting metal shavings taken out of my mouth.

I know that is like comparing apples and oranges but I have been a little shy about metal getting in me since then. And no, I didn't sue anyone but I did have that can's contents analyzed and a report sent to the makers. Anyway, that's why I prefer punched over slotted. ;)

I would think that particles, if any, would just get held up by the filler material of the cartomizer itself. I've been using a liquinator for over a month now and have to admit it's changed my outlook on vaping. Definitely prefer it to anything else but now that I have a GG want to pick up a UFS when they release again.

As many as use them I am sure if it was a valid concern, we would have heard of it before now. Just like everything else in life though some seeming unrelated events can shape our view unfairly and I'm sure that's the case for me.

For wongster to make such a strong statement says a lot. :) I must say though since the 1 month approximation Imeo has given regards the UFS, I do feel like that kid waiting for Christmas again!
