This seems so obvious that it must have been posted before, but here goes.
I got some 901 attys in today, and I'm liking them more than the 510s for dripping. Better flavor, and I know they won't get "burnt" because there is no wick string to burn. Pulling the whistle-tip off every time I wanted to drip was a pain, so I started just tailpiping it. The atty was getting uncomfortably warm, but then I had an idea.
It turns out that a silicone cap from a cartomizer fits perfectly on a 901 atty. I cut out the top with a razor blade and slid it on. Voilà! Free ghetto drip-tip. It insulates your lips from the hot atty, and gives an extra couple mm between your mouth and the coil. Carto caps will fit on a 510 atty too, but they're not quite as snug.
