Hey all!

Does anyone know what the output frequency is on a GI2 clone?

The reason I bring this up is because I vaguely remember a video review of a genuine GI2, and the reviewer stated that it operates on a lower frequency output, like an old Vamo or Evic, which caught my interest.

I was a regular Evic user for several years and owned 3 of them, all of which eventually failed for various reasons. Yes, it was a real PITA, however, when the Evics were working, they worked great. However, I wasn't going to buy another one, knowing it would probably fail too. So I went ahead and purchased a Sigelui 20w and used it regualrly for about a year. The Sig, though I had no issues with it, felt much less flavorful than the Evic. Then I found out the the Sig 20w (and also the Evic Supreme I recently purchased) run at a much higher output frequency (Like 300k Hz) vs the lower frequency of the original Evic (which I think was around 30k Hz.)

The Sig 20w and the Evic Supreme are much smoother than the old Evic, but the flavor isnt close. Not in the same ballpark.

It seems now that almost everything that comes out is non-pulse width modulation running around 300k Hz and I would really like something that operates on the lower frequency, but dont want to buy a cheapo mod.

Does anyone know which (if any) GI2 clones operate on the older frequency, or do they run at 300k Hz like just about everything being released nowadays?
Thanks!
