Ok. So I FINALLY got my Gi2 clone after waiting 3months (I was promised 3 days shipping after order from Terry Beer on FB) well I got it and it worked for about 2 minutes. I had to screw around with the allen screw and grounding to get it to work but it now seems to be working (so far). I will say that running 50-60watts on a 0.35 ohms dual coil on my Magma makes my head spin!!!

I normally chain vape, but with this thing I can only take a few 2-3second drags before I have to put it back down. It's a nice unit, but....turning it "off" only puts it in stand by mode....the screen stays on a very long time eating up battery life, and the button to fire is too damned small. In fact all of the buttons are too small and kinda suck.

I think it's an ok mod, but there are many improvements that should have been made before making these. and yes it's a 1:1 clone

as far as contruction it seems well built and heavy. It holds dual 18650 batteries and with the spring loaded positive post all atty's seem to fit flush.

I think I'd go for something else given everything I now know about this mod. To me it was not worth the $135.00 and 3 months wait.

btw...don't EVER deal with Terry Beer or CV Group Buys on FB unless you like having someone tell you to piss off when you get your mod and it doesn't work.

All the co-ops here say up front that the people running the co-ops are NOT responsible for the mods working. They make no guarantees as to the fitness of the product.

Some do get additional units to cover DOAs but they do not have to.

The only thing they do is herd the cats that are the participants, collect the money, deal with the manufacturer, do the work of breaking up the delivery from the manufacturer, package and mail out the orders. All for nothing.

Do you want them to also shoulder the burden of supporting the merchandise for nothing?

If you want support buy from someone who will support it. Part of the extra money they charge goes to support.

If you get a DOA unit in a batch from the clone makers, or real makers, they will tell you they will be happy to replace it. The next time you order.

What would you have them do?

I would have him NOT do a group buy if the product wasn't going to work, and have some avenue to return defective units and keep people happy. I absolutely call BULL.... that they aren't making money on this. They would never do a group buy if they didn't make something out of it so don't give me that crap.

I have heard that both the Gi2 and the Gi2 clone are finicky devices.

Co-ops can be risky from what I have read and you want to go into them completely informed of the risks involved. As to them making nothing I am not sure on that I believe they probably get a well deserved free unit or two out of the deal. From my understanding they put in the work and should get something out of it. co-ops are not for the faint of heart so it is sometimes best to buy from a vendor that will support any problematic issues with the device.

Other than that I got nothing, hope it continues to run after your slight tweaking.

How much did you save on the device?

I paid $135.00 for it...and honestly it's still not working correctly. I'm still messing with it but I've lost my patience and gone back to my Nemesis for now.

Sounds like a crappy experience, not trying to rub salt in the wound but ft has them for 125 and with ft at least they would take it back.
