LOL (at myself) ... I know this is going to sound a little funny but is there anything that is constructed of the same material as a BD syringe but doesn't O' I don't know...look like a syringe? LOL
Aesthetics hairball aesthetics...I'm trying to represent here, especially to my friends and family that still smoke. I don't know how influencing it would be for me to walk in a room sucking on a battery operated syringe LOL
On a serious note though, I think I've seen a video on that mod and I'll definitely look into it.
Thank you so much for getting back to me and the warm welcome! *Smiles*

lol- too funny!

Other options:

If size doesn't matter, get a MAP tank.. or if you want something smaller, get a Storm tank which is slightly larger than the Clearomizer (LEDs are available).

Wow, lots of feedback, thank you all so much! So, I have been I have experienced what I was fearful of...my clearomizer melted on me!!! I was astonished it did exactly what it looked like in the video's on youtube. So here's my experience in case it helps others. I just purchased my two sets about a week and a half ago. After each time I about 3 refills of the same flavor I rinse and give that one a rest and haven't had any problems. Well, one day I decided to make a new flavor and used the same formula I always use but used it with apple flavoring from perfumers apprentice. Filled up two clearomizers with the juice, let my dogs out came back and there they were CRACKING, LEAKING, AND BREAKING APART!!! So I threw out all my apple flavorings and haven't had a problem since...So there's my story.

Maybe one, made from" Pyrex" glass.... dishwasher safe, microwaveable.... HMMMM...lol

From previous post in this thread...

I was totally thinking pyrex glass, but there is still a problem with pyrex. As a drip tip its safe because it's set away from any heating element and it's only receiving the heat of the vape, which is minimal. As a glassomizer its touching heating elements. Now pyrex is freezer safe and heat safe glass by slowly being exposed from normal room temperature to freezing and room temperature to whatever degrees you're using in an oven, and in a microwave that heat focuses from the center out. So, pyrex can crack and break if its defrosted to fast or heated to fast...ex going from freezer to oven, from oven to freezer, whatever combo you can imagine. As I researched, there are alot of ppl actually having problems their pyrex items shattering and exploding just by transfering their cookware to water after serving dinner, so I'm leaving them alone. I want something safer and I believe I'm onto a good lead now... I'm pretty excited too!

Pyrex works fine too...I have been using bot for a couple months now with no problems...the quartz is just an added safety measure. We arent talking about a lot of heat after all...just keep your coil centered in the tube.

Here is where I got mine.... National Scientific Company - Quartz Tube, Tubing & Rod

And this is what I use for the plugs.... AeroMarine Food Grade Silicone MoldMaking Rubber

This is a good site for how to work with tubing...for instance cutting, fire polishing the ends and stress relief....The Scientific Glassblowing Learning Center: Home Page

Good luck!

I understand your need for aesthetics as posted above but once the syringe is cut, it's not a syringe, it's a tube and looks like a tube, maybe not quite as clear as the original but close. If you're concerned about the numbers, they rub off easily and will come off anyway with normal handling. By the time I have mine cut usually 1/2 the print has already come off.

as far as the glass breaking you could just use some good pyrex thats allot harder to break and i dont think it would have any heat issues, people use pyrex pipes all the time without a problem and thats a direct flame or sometimes even a torch flame. find a tube the same size and i'd assume it would work just like replacing it with the syringe piece

My experience with clearomizers has been bad. I read everyone's posts about them, some negative, some positive, and picked up a few packs to test out.
At first, wow, I thought they where great, awesome flavour, great throat hit, although low vapour production at first, figured i needed to break it in.
Well, after about 15 inhales, the burnt flavour came. I tried dripping right onto the wick where it is wrapped with the atomizers coil, another bad idea, this is directly above the air hole, so liquid will run to your battery.
After frying a few, I tried moving the rubber ring inside up, as was recommended in youtube videos. I found this increased the wicks saturation resolving the burnt flavour, however a new issue presented itself, liquid would get in my mouth about every 5-10 inhales. This is worse when the rubber ring is removed as some users suggested, and moving the rubber inside up, to allow more space for the wick to saturate, or removing it completely also means the air passage of the clearomizer will flood each time it is knocked over, or set on its side.
I also refilled & used the same clearomizer about 10 times, as I know many users will refill repeatedly, even when they get the bad burned flavour. At this point, I began getting cracks along the bottom and top of the clearomizer, this resulted in leaks everytime it was filled.
My conclusion, for anyone who bites, or chews on the top of their cartridge, or their cigarette filter, do not buy these!
If you do buy them, do not put your ecigarette with a clearomizer attached into your pocket. the plastic section can be pulled off the metal bottom piece, if this happens in your pocket, the contents of the clearomizer will leak out.
My personal opinion of these things is they are not safe enough to be marketed, and the manufacturers selling them without further development are irresponsible. This is just my opinion, but if you are a retailer Id suggest doing extensive tests on these clearomizers before offering them to your clients.

Which size exactly did you order from national scientific?

Depends on what size you want...I like and got the GE Type 214 Quartz Tubing 13.00mm ID x 15.00mm OD 4 ft. $23.96.

Their 14mm OD STANDARD WALL PYREX TUBING 4 ft. for $2.28 or even the 1/2"OD MEDIUM WALL PYREX TUBING 4 ft. $2.10 would be a cheaper alternative also. I got a lot of different sizes of both...but the quartz takes more heat than my propane torch will produce to fire polish(ie..smooth cuts). A diamond wheel works for that though since I like the quartz better...tough stuff. I also got samples of Duran tubing which is better but its harder to find and not cheap.
