The glass tanks with the carto in them are fussier than something like a Vivi Nova or a Kanger T3 and such.

I've had great luck with mine but I have made a mess twice by not quite getting the tank to pop up properly for a refill. I learned fro my mistakes:)

A Pyrex glass tank should last for months and months of use although the O rings may have to be replaced.

I'm not an expert:)

I love glass tanks, but, really, they're only as good as the cartos you put in them. They can, however, be very cool to look at.

Hotvapes has unusual, colorful, hand-blown tanks. TheECig has lovely simple ones that are pretty much indestructible. IB Tanked has great prices, and Phiniac is very popular. I'm sure you'll find others in the tank forum.

There's a few threads floating around dedicated to this. here's a couple:

I'm a big fan of glass tanks and recently bought a really nice titanium from cloud9 vapor. pyrex is better than silica. I have this from a good authority of a professional glass blower who told me the silica is weaker and you can end up with microchips that can be inhaled into the lungs.

The Bella and Elegance tanks from Hoosier Vapes now have replacement glass tubes, if you weren't aware. You can also easily fit one of the clear Phiniac glass tubes to your Bella tank. I fitted a clear Phiniac to my Hoosier Vapes Elegance tank, and had Phiniac custom color sand-blast a design on it. Below is that tank.

A nice thing about pyrex tanks, is that you can use any flavor in them and not need to worry if that flavor is safe to use. The clear plastic tanks and clearomizers that use the clear plastic (polycarbonate) are susceptible to certain flavors cracking or melting the plastic, such as some cinnamon and citrus flavors. A list of those flavors are in this link:

Be aware that your Bella tank is made of acrylic (a plastic derivative) that may be susceptible to the tank cracking flavors, even if you use a replacement pyrex/quartz tube.

A cheaper alternative to the more expensive Bella/Elegance and Phiniac tanks are the IBTanks. You can get a complete pyrex tank with stainless steel caps, the appropriate size cartomizer, a combination drip tip/tank accessory tool, and extra o-rings for $ 25.00.

i didn't know Bella's were made of acrylic Baditude...do you mean the tank itself? or the end caps? I thought the tanks were quarts, like the elegance and bedazzles

The tubes on the tanks are shipped with a polycarbonate tube. The quartz glass tubes are sold as an accessory.

The endcaps are acrylic (plastic). Taken from the website: "If your tank has an acrylic smell or taste to it follow these instructions."

I love the beauty and durability of my Ibtanks and Phiniacs ( still looking for SS caps tho for Phiniac) but they are still just a device to hold your juice. It's all about the carto! Without finding Ikenvape (thanks Bad) I would still be having trouble .. The draw, the vape... Huge plumes of vapor... I love my setup :)

that's right, now I remember. that's why bedazzle makes the quartz tubes that fit these caps....which reminds me, I should warn noobs not to order from bedazzle. I purchased a tube which was supposedly to fit dct tanks from her and it cracked trying to get the end caps on. lets just say her customer service skills are sorely lacking and she does not stand behind her products.

Love my glass tanks from Valley View Vapes and Cirrus Vapes. They can handle any e-liquid, look great, and don't retain scents/flavors like polycarbonate can.

Exactly! Imagine your favorite juice as a mixed beverage for a moment. Would you rather drink said beverage from a cheap plastic cup or out of a real glass?

Good bars serve all of their high end alcohol and even beer from glasses for a reason. Glass is non-reactive meaning it wont impart any foreign flavors or taste to your drink.Plastic would be MUCH cheaper both in terms of purchase price and loss from breakage but simply isnt as good.

The same holds true for glass tanks and juices.
