Well, I drove around and around looking for the tax office... block after block of govt offices, old, new, and I couldn't remember where it was :/ In my head, I could see slanted parking slots going against traffic - so I have parked there one time in over 20 yrs, and THEN I saw the parking thingies you put coins in, and I got back in my car and parked in the free slots, so I ALMOST parked there over 20 years ago! I also remember that there was a parking lot between the tax office and.... and... the utility company!!! Okay, so I drove and drove, side by side with the police cars & me with with expired tags Going the wrong way on one way streets Following and being followed and sitting at a stop sign or a red light beside the police cars SCREAMING TO MYSELF 'Will you PLEASE just arrest me so I can get DIRECTIONS to the tax office so I can GET MY TAGS!!!!' Eh, they never noticed me :/ I have that kind of luck with the police force... in several parts of Texas Anyway, I finally passed it, head craned out the window as I spied those slanted slots XD Got my tags, found out that I am an oldie but a hottie to the local snow-headed gentry - if the winks, grins and nods, and oldsters grabbing that door were any indication LOL

I think I have to get a new DL in 2014.... When do you have to take a test - written or driven, again? I hope I have awhile yet

Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well!

the leaves dont turn here we dont have fall. october 31st all the leaves just disintegrate and the next day it goes from hot to cold. We barely have spring too i think we have spring for like 2 weeks. yep here in the desert you get summer then winter. its either 120 degrees or 40 degrees.

Up here in the winter......many of us would kill for 40 degree weather. lol

Eh, was that yesterday? Seems like a week ago or more... Rough day yesterday at work... Emmy's in a funk at home since she's alone from 11AM to 9PM with Tommy gone :/ I'll be glad when this week is over.

This was a photo from last month.... I am going to get some tonight and see the difference... The trees are getting bare & letting more evening sun in... but not much color yet....I am hoping to go to the park this week and see how it looks...

Well, good morning/afternoon to everyone! Glad to hear you got your tags, Lisa. It really sucks to get ticketed for expired tags. Don't wish for it. You'll regret it. Very expensive problem to have. Here in AZ, our driver's licenses don't expire until we are 65, so mine is good for another 32 years. lol We do have to renew the picture every 10 years, though.

I think it's the same in Texas, Tish. 65 sounds possible, but there are many elderly folks that still drive and have no business doing so. There is no way they could pass a test, going 40 in a 65 mph zone. New pictures and eyesight check might be 10 years as well, but my current license was an online renewal with a 6 year from issue expiration. They have changed the rule a few times in the last 24 years I have been driving.
