Good morning, friends.

I think most cell phone companies suck. I've been with Sprint for around 12 years. The only reason that I went with Sprint initially was because, at the time, they were the only company in PR that considered PR part of the US--every other company considered calls to the "U.S." to be international. Times have changed, and other companies have improved the calling plans. Sprint, however, gets worse every year--they can't seem to keep up with technology. They also got rid of their incentive plans that rewarded long-time customers (e.g., new phone every year--now it's every two, and the rebates are pathetic). The only reason I've stayed with Sprint is the unlimited data plan.

Coincidentally, I upgraded my phone a couple of weeks ago because the touch screen on my iPhone was becoming non-responsive. The "helpful" agent tried really hard to get me to change plans to the new thing that they are pushing. Apparently, people can now upgrade every year, and pay a lot less when getting the new phone, by going with their finance plan which spreads the payments out over three years (I think). . . I pointed out to her that this was actually a total rip-off, and she argued with me for about ten minutes. I seriously think that she didn't understand how financing plans work. It took a while, but I finally convinced her to take my money and not touch my plan (I'm sure I would have lost the unlimited data, too, but I didn't even ask).

Another thing to keep in mind, FWIW, is that most of these agents work on commission. I know for sure they do at Sprint--I've had agents tell me in an attempt to "guilt" me on more than one occasion.

1. Sorry Doc, that stinks! I had sprint long ago, but never again. Their customer service is horrible. Most of these companies do the commission thing unfortunately. I have now been happy with verizon for many years. They are a little more expensive, but the service is certainly worth it.

4 Got some 0mg to mix with some 16mg I was given. Got a lead on a local group; need to check out their FB page. Had my first educate-a-stranger experience @ CVS. The clerk was so genuinely pleased for me! :) She was lovely. She asked if I'd gotten started with the local B&M, and said she has several customers she's gotten to know well and she's going to pass on what I told her. Made me feel really good.
