How are you feeling today jp?

Count... I run Linux and that is why I chose the penguin as my AV. Graduated high school with a guy named Steve Nichols. We both graduated halfway thru our Jr yr., him because of his intelligence and me because I always caused too much trouble and they wanted to get rid of me. He is the one I credit with teaching me chess, sciences beyond Biology because our school didn't have anything past that, Calculus and just opening my brain to ideas. He has since fancied his name but when you talk to him, he is still the same ol' Steve.
Google him if ya have the time...Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols

Good mornin!
a 9-6 shift today. my MGR is MIA!
so a laidback friday indeed!

tonight, ill finally get to boogie to the smooth house stylings of Pete 'Super-Mix' Salaz. I need to cut a rug.

Spent some time with maintenance man #3 last night. Looking at min. $75 to clean and service the swamp. ok, thats not bad.
spent $50 on the first guy, who started the job and made some progress but hurt his back and is out of commission. however, i can probably utilize him in the future. i also have to pay my assistant. He is helping the maintenance guy, and doing the hardest, most tedious cleanup-work on the swamp.
this new guy estimates a minimum 150-200$ just in material to get my front door fully secure. needs new frame and with old brick surrounding the frame, it needs to have huge anchors bore deep into the brick at a perpendicular angle do the the age and fragility of the brick. Pain in the ..... Labor cost will prob be $150, maybe more. just to have a secure front door.
and this is only a temporary solution. i will have to upgrade to a steel frame eventually, a metal door, and a security gate. that will be easily 3k... but in time.

Good Luck levisdaddy! When do you think you will open your lounge?

I was hoping July 1st, with grand opening on 4th of July weekend.
the maintenance might, but i pray doesnt hold it up.

Trees... had to go look at a coral tree in our complex that lost a couple of huge branches. The branches are precariously balanced on the fence between the tennis court and the swimming pool, so we had to call the tree people (not you fine folks!) out to get it removed on an emergency basis. That'll cost. :(

Joan, it's always good to have some smart classmates around. One always hopes that a little of it rubs off! :)

That is good to hear jp.

I don't seem to have much motivation today either for some reason. Got the kitchen cleaned, dishes done, laundry...2 loads done, folded and put away, birds fed, cats fed, stuff boxes to be mailed but still haven't managed to get out of my nightgown all day. Still need to go to mom''s again and get her satellite dish fixed and can't go this way... well shouldn't go this way. Some that live here feel if you have on a bra and your teeth in you are dressed up... I have one of the 2 :D

levisdaddy,
What kind of lounge are you opening? What part of Tucson is it in, my Son, Daughter and Grandson live in Tucson, near I-10& Ina. My hubby and I were just there for my grandson's graduation.
Maybe they can give you some word of mouth. Good luck with the lounge.

Not bad Joan for no motivation. You can come out here with your no motivation anytime.
I think you got the wrong word thought. maybe just in the dumps would be more like it. You can still get stuff done, just not in the mood but does it anyway.
