5: What kind of work do you do that you can do it from home?
View attachment 352201
Nominally, I'm an independent software developer. I say "nominally" because that is what I prefer to do as a profession--I am also a writer, an analyst, and a dabbler in other things. I have worked for several companies building and populating databases of consumer entertainment media, including constructing suggestive algorithms, as well as other database solutions for other outfits, including a public transit district, a real-estate management company, and a mortgage company. However, my last employment had me shift gears to working for a local City Councilmember as a legislative analyst (long story). Most recently, however, I have not been employed; instead trying to tie many small ideas I've had over the years into a single cohesive computer game. I fear, however, that my mid-life crisis (as I refer to it) may be reaching a the stage where I will have to soon seek employment, as I'm beginning to reach a critical stage in my finances (not dire, just the point that I've set for myself). Unfortunately, my game development has been running much more slowly than I had hoped, so....
That's the short story, at least.
On that note, I shall heed the call to dinner and wish the TreeFam a fond goodnight.
