Managed to salvage some of the afternoon. Yay!

Tiggs, my sympathies. I think Joan had it right: kids often don't think of future or the how their decisions impact others. You have to believe, however, that they will, in time, wish to see their father--for whatever reason--and that you must be ready to welcome them when they do.
