2. It's raining and flooding in certain areas here. My county is pretty much getting doused with rain and a lot of the roads are flooded. Thankfully, my little corner of the county seems to have been missed by all the flooding and it's not raining very bad. I see our neighbors in Memphis are getting some flooding too. They are telling us not to leave the house if it's not an emergency.

It feels really nice outside today, I've got the windows open enjoying the cool air.

Angel you didn't miss anything my son caught 1 and that was it. The spot we go to is right below a spillway, if the water is running out the spillway fast the bass are in there feeding, if it's not running no fish. This morning it wasn't running, which was weird because we got a lot of rain earlier and last nite.

Defining Substance is like the old definition of Pornography..
You know it when you see it!

And, in this thread, I'm the one who has to see it.

3. Well the rain and flooding is here. My carport and porch is flooded and it's pouring down rain, I took these pictures about a half hour ago when it first started, it's worse now. The street is flooded really bad, I couldn't get outside to get a shot of that. Anyway, here's what it looked like a little while ago, the water is about even with my doors now,

I've got vapemail in the mailbox, but I don't want to walk through all the water and rain to get to it..lol.

Good luck with the flooding, Bella. Stay safe!
At least you have warning: During a storm about 10 years ago, the stormdrain at the base of my driveway got clogged with pine needles during a heavy downpour at 2 am. We only woke up to notice it because of the thunder (which struck the lightpost out on the street). So there I am, wading out in a lake (which, by then, was pushing into our garage) in my surfing wetsuit to clear a storm drain that was, by then, about four feet underwater. Perhaps not the smartest thing, with all the lightning, but it was either that or have my house be flooded and possibly wash down the hillside...

4. The rain has let up, it's still raining, but not pouring and the water has gone back down. I was able to get to my mailbox and get my soaking wet vapemail out, so I'm good..lol.

There are a lot of roads that are under water and homes flooded here, so I've very thankful we aren't a part of that. Hubby works on the other side of the county and he said it's pretty bad in area's there. They are saying we had 5-7 inches in the last couple of hours in some areas. Hopefully the rain will move on soon, it's just been sitting there over the county all morning.

3. It floods where I live most winters, some more than others. Town is on one side of this bridge and I'm directly on the other. I know it is hard to get an idea for how deep the river is just by looking at this old time picture, so the three worst floods on record are:

1986 - 48.8’
1995 - 48.0’
1955 - 47.6’

Yes, that is a HOUSE!
