It's 8:30 in the morning, and the kids have already been spoken to several times. My daughter actually wanted to sleep and so sought out her own bed last night (the four kids were doing a camp-in-the-living room thing) because the others wouldn't stop talking. I guess they were asleep by 11:30 or so.... Ugh.

1. Kind of irritated today...didn't get very much sleep...went to bed very late, like almost 5 because we were catching up on TV shows and then the bf decided to get up real early to go to some store that was having a 10% off sale on everything...really, 10% and you think you have to be there when the doors open? Anyway, that disturbed the dog and he ended up jumping all around the bed and getting into things the whole time he was gone...so I ended up only getting a few hours sleep...as Uncle would say "NOT NICE!", especially on the last day of my weekend and my last chance to sleep in! :glare:

Jpf - I hope your Browns win today...they are playing one of our division rivals and I want to see your team kick their ....! :D

Robin - sorry for the loss of Miles P. Doggie...with a name like that, he must have been one cool doggy!

Count - good luck dealing with the kiddos...and just keep reminding yourself....orange is not my color, orange is not my color!

Probably won't be on much today. I have way too much to do, all good fun stuff though!

First of all, today is Brew Day!!!! I haven't had the chance to brew up a batch of beer since summer. So I have a nice holiday ale starting. Everything is sanitized, and the specialty grains are steeping as I type. I think this is going to be a really nice one, it has cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and ginger as the flavoring adjuncts with Mt Hood and Saaz hops. With two weeks fermentation, and another week of bottle conditioning, it should be ready just in time for Christmas.

After the boil is done, we're heading to the parents house to have Patrick Jrs birthday party.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

...is not my color! Orange....

A reprieve has been granted! The friends have been picked up by their parents.  The friends were twins who are in my daughter's class--which made it doubly hard because each of the twins has a distinctly different personality. They also treat my son as if he were their age (which he loves), but also often forget that he is two years+ younger than they are (although he is as tall as them). All in all, it really wasn't that bad, but still...

Good luck brewing, phager. And I hope your son enjoys the party!

2. Sounds like fun phager....Enjoy!

Count, glad you got a reprieve...don't know if all of us here could have come up with the bail money!

I am about at my wit's end here...internet is dragging again, making it almost impossible to do anything...and as if I'm not irritated enough, his mom is sitting here talking to me nonstop...driving me up the wall...I really wish I could just tell her you shouldn't try talking to someone who has had very little sleep, not enough coffee and who is busy trying to read stuff....and of course, he's off sleeping now that he did his shopping! To say I'm not in a good mood would be an understatement...and I have to be nice on top of that...boy this is going to be a very trying day! :glare:

@ "Angel" - Now don't start getting frustrated and doing something "You" will regret . . .
Like . . .

There is always much better other options . . . Even if "You" start

someone else - be it that BF or Future MIL (which Ya' just might want to consider anyway since they are being so RUDE . . . ;)) would be a better idea . . . Especially given that no matter what "You" do, "You" do work for a lawyer who should be able to assist Ya' if NEED be . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Oh, no not the rainbow bridge. I first saw that after my boyhood dog passed (a month, before my wedding), and I can't read it without bawling like a baby, it's just not "manly". It's such a poignant poem.

The brew day is going great. First hop addition is done, 30 minutes until the spice additions. It's a little tedious watching it, but you know what they say " an unwatched brew kettle always boils over' :D .
