Just tried to go out to get something to eat, and what should have taken me about 15 minutes took way over an hour! ...and didn't even get any food! The traffic was backed up so bad because they had the main highway blocked off and were rerouting traffic to all the back roads...made for a huge mess! I ended up only making the one stop to get some disposable pans for tomorrow and just going back home...then called my son and told him to bring me some Arby's when he leaves work...free food is better anyway!

Well, my day at work is done, and I don't have to be back at work until 2pm Friday. Get to enjoy some quality time with the family, and spend some time contemplating the things that are truly important.

3. I'm not cooking tomorrow either, well sort of...I am making my sweet potato casserole that my family loves and the dressing, but all the rest, my son and his wife are taking care of...I'm just glad that I don't have to have all those people here...and that I don't have to cook the turkey! I'm more than happy to pass that on to the next generation!

I'm only making cream cheese mashed potatoes, but I brought 3 pies, 2 tubs of ice cream, 2 cans of whipped cream, 4 bottles of apple cider and 2 bottles of wine.

Traffic today... ugh! I remember when I worked at a location next to the major freeway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Every day before a holiday, the traffic would be backed up and not moving... and I already had a twenty minute commute!
