I 3rd that! That sucks Count! I agree with Uncle, call the place and make them refund the charges!
The power cord thing... for liability purposes, when they do the install, they must use a new power cord. Apparently the old power cord (you know, the one we might have damaged because we move the dryer constantly?) might be worn or damaged from previous use. Yeah, we're both a little po'd right now...![]()
12/1 - 3: That is true, I get to put those cords on all the time with my job. We have to wait for a while with some people until they decide what outlet they are going to install before we purchase the cord. They are going "What are you waiting on?" "you"Actually the job I previously had was selling electronics and major appliances. No manufacturer puts power cords on dryers or ranges, haven't for 20 years. The reason is simply because there are 3 or 4 configurations that the plug can be dependent upon how long ago your house was built and local codes. There's usually 2 for dryers and 2 for ranges. It doesn't make sense for a manufacturer to put 2 cords in every box just to have one not be used. As far as your charges Count my store charged $79.99, that included delivery, haul away, installation and the cord. What's crazy is you can buy a washing machine and they don't include the hoses to hook them up, those are the same no matter where you live. You being in California instead of Ohio I would expect it to be a little more, but that did seem a little bit high. I would definitely call and get the installation charge refunded.
Yay!I made Catalina Pork Chops in the oven/broiler for supper and cut up potatoes for homemade french fries, turned out pretty good. I'm now stuffed.
Robin thanks for the suggestion earlier, I found a couple shirts with ties at Kohls online sale.
