Woke up again at 4:30 am, and couldn't fall back to sleep. This has been going on for the past week. I'm not diggin' this new pattern at all!

Nothing really to say, thinking about taking a bath
It does, especially when it doesn't get light until 3 hrs later. Sometimes, I don't mind just getting up if it's light outside, but I don't like having to turn lights on. I know I'm weird.12/7
1. I woke up at 6, but laid in bed until 8 trying to go back to sleep.
Robin, that sucks, I hate waking up early and not being able to fall back asleep.

Doh! Maybe you can rig a peep hole/slit for him or wear an eye mask?12/7 #2
One of my cats has been driving me crazy this morning. He hates when the blinds are down by my desk because he likes to watch the birds at the bird-feeder in the morning. Problem is, the sun really comes pounding in that window early in the morning, so he spends his time crawling between the venetian blinds, bending them, shaking them, smacking them against the wall and anything that happens to be close.![]()
I've tried that trick before, but then I obsess over what time it might be!12/7 - 1: Turn the clock around where you can not see it, or cover it with a towel or something. Our bodies like to get into schedules and if you see a clock at night the body wants to see if it can wake up and see the same time nightly. If you cover the clock in a few weeks you should sleep longer, and don't forget to resist the urge to get up and look at the time. I think he just likes making as much noise as he can in the morning. It gets everyone up--and then he might get fed. (Not that he usually is, but he seems to be a dreamer, that one...)Doh! Maybe you can rig a peep hole/slit for him or wear an eye mask?![]()
