Hooray for found wallets! I bet it was right where you'd left it. ;)

12/11 - 3: Thanks all.... actually I think while watching football on TV it fell out into a blanket. When I checked in a hurry leaving for work it was caught up in the blanket and did not fall out. tumbleweed.gif

Tiggs - So glad you found your wallet! :D
Made it home earlier, but the power was out. It just came back on!

The river is now forecasted to crest when I'd be leaving for work, so I'll need to keep an eye on it. As of now, I'm gunna stay home and ride it out. If it wasn't for my semi-feral cat, I'd already be at a friend's house, but my car is packed for a quick escape, should the need arise!

Keep a close watch on things. When it starts it's likely to move fast and you'll also have to deal with everyone else getting out along with the flood conditions.

A couple days ago I filed reports with USPS and MPS for 3 packages and had responses from both.
USPS sent standard pre-made responses that I've received before give typical delivery times (which have been exceeded) and saying they can't do anything because the destination is FPO.
MPS response is that they submit it to USPS with a statement of "Note that USPS is responsible for the tracking of your missing mail article and will contact you with any information about your mail piece."
WTH - both come back saying not out fault, can't help you, the other guy did it
I need a face-to-face with somebody and maybe the piece of pipe I carry will get some action.

12/11 - 5: We do flash floods here as well. Our rain comes in extremes here, and the water will be only 2 or 3 feet deep but moving so fast that it will take a car away and anyone who wants to escape. If you see water, there is no idea how deep it actually is and do not try to cross it. A day worth of payment is not worth your life, your belongings or car. Trust me I know how flash floods work, the above is "normal" but can also be six or more feet, and that becomes more "deadly" even though being dead is dead, no matter how deep it is. Take care ranger, live for another day and say "screw it" to those bills and the work.

Thank you all for your advice and concern. Please don't worry! I am keeping a watchful eye. The river is visible from my place during daylight hours. The main road into my place floods at 33ft. My cabin around 40ft. We have a back escape route that is at 45 ft. Here is the latest info:
