Taking time off work and the cost to see the Doc is a huge pain.

I always hate taking time off during the day when I work in an office: other people either think you're having a good time or that you're shirking your work. And bosses? They're never happy...

$50 for my PCP to refer me to someone else, another $50 to see that person, and the cost for whatever tests they want to run!
I was hoping I could self-diagnose and prescribe!

Wifey hasn't been doing well, the Dr's office called and said her ammonia level was up to 96 from her blood draw yesterday and it was 92 from Fridays. Their having a iv fluids out to see if it gets it down.

A normal person level is below 30, 70 is considered critical, hers is normally 60-75 and shoots up higher now and then. It usually doesn't stay this high 2 readings in a row. If the iv fluids don't help she'll probably be put into the hospital again.
