Sorry Bella.
I received my W-2 and within 10 mins, I had my taxes filed!
However, I got just enough back to cover the speeding ticket I got back in November.

Bella, I hear you about government-mandated insurance. I was behind the idea of some sort of national program like Medicare that people could sign up for if they wanted (and paid for). But the government-mandated purchase of insurance through a corporation rubs me the wrong way.

4. I'm all for insurance for people that need/want and can afford it. I don't need it, don't want it and can't afford it..lol. I don't agree with forced coverage and the government deciding what I can and can't afford to pay, then turning around an fining me for it. I can count on one hand the number of times I've personally been to the Dr. in the past 16 years and I've paid cash for every single visit, even when I had insurance it covered nothing until the deductible was met. Never has a deductible been met, even when my husband was in the hospital.

LOL.. Mac, I wish I was an illegal immigrant sometimes.

Robin, at least you got enough back to cover your ticket. I wish it took me 5 minutes to file my taxes.

Oh, one positive was that we didn't have to pay state taxes this year and are actually getting a refund from the state (that hasn't happened since we moved here) that covers most of the fine the feds. are taking for the health care fine. Not all bad, but still burns my hide..lol

1. Just checking in...haven't even read back yet...have had a really bad today...got some bad news this morning regarding my oldest son and I'm struggling to deal with it...just really depressed right now, but thought I'd come check in with my friends here to try and get my mind off things...guess I'll go read back now and see what's going on with my Treefam.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words...unfortunately this is not the first time I've been down this road with my son, but the difference now is he has a family of his own that is being affected...and that is what has me so upset...only time will tell what the final outcome will be, but I do know that it will not be a very good one...all I can do now is pray.

One good thing, through all this I haven't even once had the urge for a cigarette...and it would have been easy because all I'd have to do is get one from the bf...I guess I really am past the need for a cigarette...because if I didn't want one now, I never will!

I was having computer issues earlier and had to update/ mess with and restart my computer. Hopefully it's better now. It's a little faster anyway.
