Last May we had a new water heater put in and one of the joints on some of the new PVC pipe popped. Luckily I was nearby when it happened, heard the water and seen it right away. Ran over and turned off the valve that's there. Also lucky that it's outside so no house flooding.

Tried calling the place that did the work last year to make them come out to fix their shoddy work but it's Sunday and the place is closed. Had to go to the hardware store and get some pipe dope. Got back, had a quick sandwich then made the repair. With the time spent trying to get hold of someone, going to the store and fixing it I lost a couple hours that could've went toward the sat dish.

Finally got to work on the sat dish and wasn't making any progress.
Found the papers from 9 years ago and compared the settings in the instructions to what I'm using - found that the elevation they give is 2 degrees below what I have mine set at.
Made that adjustment for the new setup and I got a signal.
Still have a lot of work to do with it cause I have to put it in a new location - original spot has the house behind me blocking the new sat.
Used a temp mount for all my testing so now need to go buy some stuff to make a solid one.

The guy I had called to figure out what I was doing wrong made it here after I had figured out the problem and was working on selecting a place to put the dish. Had him look at the old setup and he said new one would definitely be blocked there. We went over possible locations and different ways to mount it - he said the area I had in in at that time looked to be the best spot - I have very limited area around the house and even less that can get the signal. Also have to consider ease of access to pull it off for the typhoons. He seemed happy that I had figured out the main issue that was giving me trouble and gave a few more bits of advice about the setup. He wouldn't take any money for his time - I offered and he just said spread the word about him - already been doing that as the few times I've dealt with them has been positive - they give good info whereas the ones in charge of the sat system and those selling some of the gear are passing bad stuff.

Still got a lot of work - make the mount, mods on the dish bracket, run the cable to the new spot (gotta crawl under the house fore that) and then line the dish up again.

3/29 - 1: Good morning all, two nights in a row where when I fall asleep, I awake when the sun is up. I guess working yourself to exhaustion will help with sleep.

When I wake just before the alarm goes off I automatically feel I am balanced. Being a morning person by nature I look at waking early as a positive thing. Don't forget to squeeze some fun time in today Tigg.

I am not a morning person! Lately I have been waking up before my alarm goes off, Even on my days off I've been getting up early compared to what I used to. A lot of that has to do with the little time I have to get everything done I'm responsible to do. Taking care of Wifey consumes most of my time when I'm not working, then housework, cooking and everything else, doesn't leave much time for sleeping in.

I won't bore everyone with the details of what the past 3 days have been like, especially since I am sure there are many of "You" who already know . . . So - All I will say it has been extremely tiring and frustrating to say the least to decide and come to a decision about what NEEDS to be done (Saved, Passed on, Given Away, or Thrown out) when closing up a HOME and/or the "Life" of Someone "You" have cared about/"Loved" (particularly in a short amount of time) . . . Last thing I will mention about this, at the time it happened it was not funny, but looking back I do find it quite humorous. Driving back to South Florida normally takes 4 maybe 5 hours with a couple of stops along the way 6 hours at most - except when you make a wrong turn in the opposite direction and do not realize it until 2 hours later . . . NOT NICE ! ! ! :censored: :censored: :censored:

1. Congrats Robin!! Thanks Gmo for the place to call home every week!

I'm way behind reading and catching up on here. Not sure if I'm even going to try to read back from yesterday. I don't have much time for online right now.

Last night hubby and I had an adults night at the house and acted like we were still young. Made some adult beverages and hubby blasted music half the night. Haha, we had fun, but I'm too old for the dancing and music so loud it hurts.

Today is my 9 month vaperversary! I can't believe I haven't smoked a cigarette in 9 months! I don't miss it at all.

Hope everyone is hadving a great weekend.

I wanted to comment on this yesterday, but I was acting young. i.e. I played beer pong for the 1st time in my life. It's super hard and now I'm payin' for it.
 Congrats & Happy Vapeversary!
