Oh, Uncle, how very nice of you to chime in with the helpful information. I think I'll leave it as is, though. I'd get confused and I'm having a pretty good time regardless. Thank you just the same and I hope your great day gets even better!

SailCat - I am amazed that you've been an ecf member since 2009!
You must have seen many changes in the vape community, as well as this forum, over the years. If you ever feel like sharing your observations, I doubt I’d be the only one interested in "hearing". ;)

Well folks, it’s time for me to make like a banana and split!

Have a lovely evening everyone! I’ll catch y’all later…

:tumble:

Just spent some time talking to my daughter about a class project that involves baking a cake and decorating it with a representation of a portion of the state of California. The area she has been assigned is along the border with Arizona, between Blythe and Needles, with the Mojave desert taking up most of it. It took a while to figure those borders out because the handout she brought back from school just has the state divided up into a grid (each student was assigned a square) with few, if any, landmarks to figure out just how far their territory stretches.

@rangerrobin - Yep, I joined in August of 2009. ECF played a major role in research on e-cigs as I'd become interested not so much in quitting tobacco but in the technology. Just a couple of years prior to that, even the cigalikes were scary expensive; over $100 (where's the yikes smile?). As the price came down and the tech improved, I felt the desire to try 'em out.

I research everything extensively (not compulsively, of course. Of course!). As a result, it was months later that I made my first purchase. THanks to the information here, I didn't feel the need to start with a device that looked and felt like a cigarette; I bought a Chuck ( still made here). Basically, I purchased an 18650 mechanical. <G>

The short version goes like this: Seven days after I started vaping, I put out my last cigarette 'cause I couldn't stand the taste. That was after smoking more than 40 years. That story doesn't leave a lot of 'tree' room ....

Home from the northern supply run... got Thai food for the wife from her fave Thai restaurant, beer for the kids, supplies for the broom shop, and a 30 ml bottle of #67 (Skooma) from the best local vape shop I've found (local being a relative term... it's an hour and a half away). Oh, as they gave me an Orchid... I also bought an iStick mini for Stepdot (one of her eGos died last night and she panicked a little).

On the way home, I realized that I'm 6 months quit!

And welcome Sailcat.

where's the yikes smile?
That's a great story, SailCat. BTW: Do you mean this? Another way to enter is to type ": shock :" without the spaces.

Oh, as they gave me an Orchid...
Shawn (and others on this thread, like Bella): how do you guys end up with so many freebies? I guess I just don't have the scintillating personality for it....

Experimental dinner with leftover roast chicken is about ready....
