Hi treefam hope all is good with everyone.

I put the fence up to plant new grass and keep the dogs off while it grows. My little one sneaks under the fence and thinks it's his new carpet..

Summer vacation is off to a great start: the kids have been up for less than two hours and are already bickering with each other and ignoring directions enough that they have received warnings about not going to possible fun activities. It's going to be a long summer....

Please at least go the speed limit!

Especially - Here in Florida with all the Tourist not knowing where they are going, much older Seniors still on the road (We even have Minimum Speed Limits Signs on the Major Highway . . . :facepalm ), and those who are on "Caribbean time" . . . Worse of them all, is the Driver at either a stop light or on a highway driving in the fast lane using a cell phone without a "hands free" device and/or texting . . .

. . . NOT NICE ! ! !

While I know it may seem that it would be very unlike "Me". . . . . . Sometimes all I want to do is get in-front of them and slam on "My" Brakes just to wake them up . . .

Okay - Time to visit a couple of other neighborhoods . . .

...still catchin up on the posts...this whole week has been an ECF dead zone while I'm out here dealin with Life in the combat zone of daily dealings...fraught with peril
@tiggs ..keep your head up, bro ...cat in a corner..take it from me...NO good ....keepin it simple..keepin it real...I'll b on home soil and wheelin towards home in the wee hours of the night/morning tonite...so please if you feel so inclined...throw a wing and a prayer may way that hi mileage car pulls thru on those long desolate stretches of highway...and that prong horned beasties keep clear of the strip between the lines

...ah...the lowly blue agave tequila tree heeheehee

Hasn't been a good couple of days. Got some bad news financially. Old doctor bills catching up with me and a couple other things. Some prayers and good vibes would sure be appreciated.

1. Had a long night again. I don't think this mess is ever going to go away. It had got to where it was just the bad cough and a slight sore throat (because of the coughing) and now one side of my throat (those glands back there) is swollen and yucky again. I'm not "feeling" bad though, just coughing a little bit and sore throat so it's not so bad I guess.

Well Nancy...I wish I could say I am having a good week.....it's too hot for me at this time.....I can't believe it...last year was bad...but this year takes the cake.....I came here to the PNW because of the better climate..and guess what???...I think it's warmer here....
But I will hope the same for you...

2. Thanks everyone. I feel a lot better than I had been, I just wish this mess would go away and stay away!

Blue, it's so hot here it hurts to breath when you walk outside. Hope the temps go down where you are. They are just going to keep rising here.

Robin, I don't live in a tourist town but the drivers here drive so slow! Coming from the Atlanta area to here was a shock. I'm used to crazy drivers, but at least in Ga they drove fast. Here they drive slow and below the speed limit and traffic is a nightmare. Nothing like driving down the road and some car that thinks its a turtle pulls right out in front of you and proceeds to crawl along. If you pull out in front of someone you are supposed to hit the gas..lol. It makes getting around slow and frustrating.

Living near a university, we get clueless student drivers during the school year (both the ones that are lost and the ones that think the are hotshots of the road) and a ton of clueless drivers during commencement (which we just had this weekend). And, living near the beach, we suffer through the lines of cars filled with lost tourists...

Kids went with my wife to go on a hike with some friends and didn't heed my advice to avoid a trail that is known for poison oak. They all just came home in a hurry, clothes thrown immediately into the laundry, and jumped into to the shower for immediate scrub-downs. According to my wife, the friends may have gotten it worse...

Best wishes to those Treefam members in need of them!

I think they caught it in time or got lucky--no scratching rashes so far--but the panic it instilled was rather amusing to watch.
